First, they'd need to be able to cart these items back to the village (so please take item weights and sizes, and character abilities into account). If your characters are able to bring things back, then it is possible to store them within the barrier. However, remember there are centuries between now and the future, so caches might be looted, lost, or degrade over time as residents find and use them and search out others.

The possibility is there, but your character will need to be clever about bringing the items back and finding a way to keep them out of other residents' hands.
