Which of the following AU scenarios would you most like to see for this event?
Lunar Family Scenario:
Theodore Harvey succeeded in casting Cure on his father and saving him all those years ago. Recovered, KluYa moved his family to a remote area where no one could find them, determined to save his loved ones. Cecilia still suffered complications because of Cecil's birth, but was saved by her husband and Theodore's newly discovered white magic.
This universe would mean that there is no "Golbez", among other things, and he wouldn't answer to or recognize the name. He'd still wear his armor, but only during battle. In this scenario Kain would probably have been among the main baddies, so he'd probably be pretty suspicious of him and antagonistic, and he'd have a bit more of a fatherly relationship with Rydia and a closer one with Cecil. Ceodore would be treated to probably the most friendly, encouraging uncle ever.
He'd also have a bit of white magic, but only first-tier stuff like Cure and Libra. His main talent is still in black magic.
Within The Mist Scenario:
A few years before KluYa's death, a traveler from Mist came to the town they were living in. Meeting Theodore, he was stunned to discover the boy had a minor, latent summoning talent. A request was immediately put in to take Theodore to Mist for training, but KluYa refused, stating that a boy so young had no business tampering with Eidolons.
But Theodore remembered the traveling woman, and when KluYa was killed and his mother died his mind traveled to Mist as a place where he could escape. Realizing they could take care of his little brother for him as well, he resisted the taunting voice of Zemus by focusing all of his efforts on getting them both to Mist. It took months, but he eventually arrived, sneaking past Baron and into the cave. The dragon of the village's guardian alerted the villagers and Theodore and Cecil were found and taken into Mist.
This scenario would eventually lead to Mist's downfall several years before it would have happened in game-verse and Cecil and Theodore running with an infant Rydia (since her mother would have died in the defense of the city) as unknown attackers struck. As a result, Theodore would act very much as a father to Rydia and sometimes Cecil as well. He wouldn't be as standoffish and quiet as his current self, but his past would definitely leave a mark on him. "Golbez" would also exist in this version, but would be significantly different, with enhanced summoning abilities in exchange for a loss in physical prowess.
