You know Yuber will pretty much go as needed and he's likely going to be cleanup for Vash if Vash can't be convinced to take a more defensive role this time around.

I'd be happy to volunteer Asad for the main defensive group. Most of his skills are awesome at range as long as a Shifter doesn't knock out the ability to use his Marks of the Stars. And he'll be prepared in case with non-magical weapons to switch to if needed since he can use plenty of weapon types.
