She's a heavy magic user and has a lot of different attacks that are pretty powerful. Some are short ranged and some she can cast at a distance. She can also create status effects on enemies, like one that will cause an enemy to become temporarily blind, and she can even make them sleep, or even shrink in size. She can also create a 360 degree barrier around other people to protect them if they're attacked, and that she can do even from far away.

Protecting people while fighting off enemies is something she's done in canon. And even if her magic gets canceled out she can easily just whack away at them with her Keyblade. She has a few heavy physical attacks she can use too.
