Maybe that could work: Robert and Don made the suit and overall framework as a project with stolen 3rd Party Artifacts and technology, Daisy prolly ended up as the only person capable of using it (much to the doctor's displeasure), and while she uses it for mining, she modified a lot of elements and programs of the armor to adapt it to war against the 3rd Party Cult.

In Halo canon, the MJOLNIR works essentially as a mini-starship that has an on-board computer of sorts that helps the wearer in a lot of forms in combat: Communications, a sealed environment for space operations, target-tracking, armor-locking, weapon identification, FOF identification, radar, etc. Most importantly, it has a reactive gel layer of sorts that amplifies every movement. So much that even thinking about moving an arm makes it move stupid fast*, though it was handwaved in the book that all Spartans received subliminal instruction to move it delicately.

*In real life, moving a suit like that is described as riding a horse. Hell, a lot of vehicles are designed not necessarily only to make them faster and tougher, but they're also designed so the pilots don't kill themselves while using them -- A very common problem with fighter jets. So when you've got a suit that moves every joint of your body stupidly fast.... it ain't pretty.
