LOL well, from what I can tell the compatibility thing is based off of personalities and how well the two understand each other. So Masaomi might be able to hold him without a bad reaction, but they won't be able to synchronize well enough to fight efficiently XD. If you follow the manga and the spinoff manga, it explains it really well.
