So this is where I resort to my ultimate weapon of plothole fixing - the almighty weather calendar.

OK, the 11 is a cold snap, and on the 12 it snows. So wondrous AUland decrees she was visiting her dear brother and his cute boyfriend but lost track of the time. And since it was already dark, cold, and snow was kicking in, she spent the night over there and will be coming "back" to House 8 once the sun's up.
