Droid Sabotage - Begins September 21st (fyi: we pushed the date up by one!)

YES INDEED. Tony might possibly mentally flip his shit if Rogue works with Loki to bring down the chief programmer. Which of course means it should happen. Let's up the tension. Rogue should totally jump in if Tony gets on Loki's case before the actually heist begins (which let's be honest, he will because he's Tony).

My vote is that B/C combo everyone's been talking about I guess, though the way I imagined it it looks more like this:

Various possibilities, but if the RNG gods are unkind and it's too much a risk, it basically becomes a neat little Plan B. Every option should be accomplish-able with four people or less.

Loki's very in favor of going after the programmer and bringing back parts.

I'd actually rather like him to be in on that. ^^;

Loki's entire argument is pretty much going to be: The whole point is for the mission to be a success, right? Then why faff around with it when there's a quick, efficient way to get the job done. Particularly since it sounds like leaving Kidston alive isn't really going to do the "good" side any favors. Killing her achieves two purposes, in that it gets them into the room no muss, no fuss, and it also deprives the bad guys of a presumably valuable resource.

I want him to be in on this part of the mission since that's really the place he's going to be any fun to play in.

(And as I just realized, he can use an illusion to disguise himself as her as well...)

Ah, looks like this was all being discussed in the "science team" thread, which I didn't realize was the one I should be in on. /sigh

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Loki will want to just kill her.

And actually, he could use an illusion to disguise himself as her, and he mimics voices very well. He just wouldn't be able to do anything else magical since that'd pretty much blow his load as far as diminished powers go.

Blowing the door wouldn't effectively free up anyone, since then there'd be a massive fight. Subterfuge is going to win the day on this one.

Yeah. I've stuck my two cents in there now. Hopefully Loki will get in on that action.

Since if nothing else, he can disguise himself as Kidston too. XD

wrong journal BUT YES, DEFINITELY. I think Loki's presence is really gonna put Tony on edge, so, that'll be god times. He's bound to get in his face. Especially if he's teaming up with Rogue. :|a

So I put this in my vote up there, but here is the distraction plan as I see it? Charles was kind enough to make a flow chart, so it should read much simpler as so:

Also looking for some finalization on who's going to be Team B. The way I have it outlined, all scenarios can be carried out by four people or less (may adjust if one more person really wants in). More than that and it's not just a security risk to the distraction plan, but it's a big one to the Science Team who will need the most people.

AS OF NOW the roster I have from the last time I asked for a headcount is:

- Shikamaru
- Masaomi
- Gai
- Leonhardt (??? Nadia, your comments made me feel you wanted him in but if I'm mistaken let me know)

So Steve is here for all your plotting needs. He's going to be on Team A and doing team leader things. ~~and for the sake of blending in he'll be without uniform and shield because...yeah.~~ Bring me all the plots!

Well I think Steve should be on Team B because that's really where his expertise is. But if we already have enough people, I can just as easily switch him over.

And Shira suggested that I make a thread for people to post to once they've decided which team their on. Basically like a roll-call sort of thing just so we can make sure everyone has a place. And then no one will have to keep a headcount. =)

I think the major flaw with Loki disguising himself as Kidston is that the FFA scanner goes for genetics and I don't think even Loki could change how his DNA reads.

The arguments against simply cutting her wings off would be largely moral and based on whether they're any better than the malnosso if they mutilate someone to further their own goals.

Oh no, he'd be disguising himself as her to hide the fact that she's dead/incapacitated.

Yeah, those arguments don't hold a whole lot of water with someone like Loki. ^^;;

Morals are all well and good until they get you killed or make you fail a mission. Unnecessary risks and all that.

Not a bad idea. I was typing up my comment for the log now and was going to direct people over here, but this works too.

As for Steve, I'd figured that he would be with Team A since a) their mission (the real one) is the most vitally important b) he's the field leader. I realize now that was an assumption, sorry!

Since he's the field leader, he gets final say, so just let me know where he wants to be. He can take Shikamaru's slot and he'll hop over to Team A.

Though of course, the best way to keep him from killing her and still have him play decoy chief programmer to keep things nice and covert would just be to put someone with him.
