Team A will have to look around the facility to find her. The code runs pretty smoothly on its own so she doesn't often have to go there -- and rarely stops in during one 24 hour period, which is all the team has to get the job done. Best places to look for her would be her office, the mess hall, the labs where beta coding and the like is being tested (but not yet implemented). Hell, even check the restrooms!
The techies are welcome to try to disable the wing scan but there will be a random dice roll to determine success rate if that choice is made by the group -- trip the wrong wire and (just like with the blow-the-bloody-doors-off option) the security detail will come after them pretty fast. Interfering with the scanner itself is probably more of an eleventh hour strategy, given that it'll nearly always result in a strike force showing up immediately.
