Yo, let's plot.

Tony Stark will be woefully pissed off that his armor doesn't show up with him, but I'll probably have him find something outdated and junky at the MSF armory that he can make compatible with his arc reactor. I'll play it by ear, but this armor will likely get totally trashed as the days pass so he ends up as unprotected as everyone else. Around when that power cap goes in or something. However, being the irrationally dedicated hero he is, he will be sticking it out as long as he thinks there's a chance of saving these people. I think he'd focus his energy on keeping those medics researching for a cure safe, but as he checks in on various locations and tries to find uninfected individuals to save, he can certainly have any number of encounters with zombies, fellow draftees or otherwise! Or maybe he drags your fellow heroic character along for some life-saving goodness. I'm up for whatever. Also, as the days go on his stress levels will only skyrocket, so he'll likely become irrational and much more easily set off. So, there's that!

He won't be getting infected, but Pepper is, and once she does you can be sure as hell he isn't leaving her side or letting anyone near enough to even think about killing her prematurely. :| At that point, he won't be at all reasonable, but your character is more than welcome to try! That's gonna be good times.

Abed will likely be trying to educate other draftees on zombie survival since he and Troy are so genre-savvy when it comes to them. They'll want to impart their generous zombie wisdom, and I'd imagine since they're so knowledgeable and familiar with the conventions, they'd probably call something like food shortages and water contamination beforehand. I'm still toying with the idea of getting him infected, but it'd be towards the latter part of the draft and it'd be cool if he did it while, say, sacrificing himself by buying someone time to run away from a hoard of walkers and getting nommed himself. Otherwise, I'll probably keep him clean and doing whatever Troy is doing. Surviving zombies the true Max Brooks way.

WOW that ended up more tl;dr than I intended. Anyway. Plots aweigh!
