THE JANUARY/FEBRUARY ROUNDUP

Hey everyone, this is another round up for the end of our two month cycle. We missed this in December, so this will include stuff from the last four months. Just a group of news-items and helpful links!

First off, as of tonight all lingering Shifts from the Valentine’s event will end. That means if you had your characters still in love, they’ll be back to normal!

We have a new Applications post! So make sure you use the right one if you’re planning to apply. Also be aware that there are some new changes to the application itself, as mentioned earlier. If you forget to include the new sections, we’ll just ask for a revision.

  • Like before. we have a section for people who want to be app helpers. How does it work? Well you sign up here with the canons you think you know well. If we mods run into something we don't know or need a second opinion on, we'll ring you up and ask you to take a gander. Comments are screened on here. If you signed up last time, feel free to edit your comment with anything you want to add. Remember, applications open tonight at 12AM EST!

  • We want to remind people of a few things we have regarding giving us suggestions on stuff. If you have an event idea, you can use the Event Suggestions post. We have a separate one for Mission Suggestions. For things about the game in general, we have the Suggestions post as well as the Complaints and Concerns post. We do use suggestions that are submitted to us.

  • Also remember that you if you want to arrange a player plot, you should contact a mod so you can use the Player Event Sign-up Post. This will ensure you get added to the calendar and nothing gets scheduled over it.

As announced before, we’ve restructured missions a little. First off, we now have a Reward Claim post with a variety of different options on how to spend points. All of the recurring missions were combined into a single post and many were replaced with all new missions.

As requested on the last HMD, we tweaked some of the prices around on the rewards and fixed some links.

  • Back in November (18th-20th), Luceti volunteers went a mission to Depot 8, where they met not only the local sheriff but also an influential member of the FTSA, Hoi Hidekan. In the end, those on the mission opted to support the Depot and in so doing perhaps unintentionally dealt their FTSA allies on the outside a fatal blow. This mission also saw the introduction of the Iron Eye, a mercenary band associated with the FTSA’s more violent factions. At the conclusion of the mission, a few of Luceti’s residents helped the captured Hidekan escape Malnosso custody.
  • Also in November (23rd), CJ announced a unique experiment providing an opportunity for characters to earn mission points by performing some of the tasks common on many missions, with an emphasis on collecting items in a non-violent fashion. Though not everyone participated as well as they should, the Malnosso were pleased with the results and many points were distributed.
  • Christmas in Luceti was jolly(ish) this year, with a shelf elf themed event. Mischievous little Malnosso-sent elves ordered the locals around with promises of gifts and rewards come the end of their stay. The holiday saw the usual influx of magical decorations and pesky, kiss-inducing mistletoe. Those who were nice and obeyed their elves got a great gift. Those who were naughty? Well, they were stuck with something far more disappointing.
  • On January 14th, Molly made an appearance at the clothing store in the village, where she spoke further with the villagers about exchanging information.
  • From January 26th to 27th, absolutely nothing happened at all. The villagers emerged two days later with fractured memories of the incident. Once again, the Malnosso have offered no explanation for this yearly phenomenon.
  • February 5th saw the first contact from Biliruben since his demise last year. Now with a more youthful vibe to him, he shared some warnings to John about events outside Luceti. Cheerful as ever, he cautioned the villagers of the upcoming Valentine’s event while also announcing that Sirry Craggs had been liberated from the cultists at long last.
  • Following the yearly tradition, the village was once more subjected to a round of humiliating professions of love as Valentine’s rolled around from the yet again, this time lasting from the 11th to 17th. No longer ensnared by journal interactions, it was love at first sight, provided the person had the kind of traits you could fall in love with. All of it came to its big conclusion at a spa resort in the mountains, where Shift-enhanced chocolate inspired people to take their love making to another level. Strangely, some of the villagers have continued to maintain their feelings of love, even with the experiment already being concluded.
  • And just this past Wednesday, on Febrary 27th, a routine mission has descended into subconscious chaos as a group of Luceti volunteers are dragged into the depths of their own minds and each others. They’ve been forced to answer one brute of a question: can they trust their immediate fates in the General’s hands as he leads them through a nightmarish landscape.

REMEMBER: Applications open tonight at 12:00AM Eastern Standard Time. Application Interests are still open and you can also still tag around on the Test Drive meme.
