Most of this is discussed in various places elsewhere, but I figure that I'll try to make it concise.
Barnaby is the adopted son of the Hyuuga family, is 25 years old, in the final stages of earning his Graduate degree, and is quite happily in a relationship with Kakashi. Because of his romance and his breaching of class boundaries, he's become distanced from the extended portion of his aristocratic family, but remains on good terms with his sisters, Saori and Hinata, and his brother Neji. He's majoring in the sciences, predominantly with a mechanical bent, and he's considerably more emotionally balanced and happier.
Unfortunately, his own native observation skills and stubbornness remain, which leads to him questioning various aspects of his reality. I'd like for him to get taken in for 'questioning' at some point, and be detained for a good few hours because of his own stubborn drive to find a rational answer to this problem.
I would also like to deal with some 'accidents' when he discovers his powers and doesn't know how to properly monitor it. Something can and will be broken, so I'm open to any ideas about how to play this out.
Cliff on the other hand is quite the family man in this iteration. He's a war vet who has worked long and hard in the mill after their defeat. He's married to (shifted female) Souji and is quite proud of his son, Fayt. Unfortunately, a man needs to bring bread to the table, and he wanted to send his son to school no matter what.
The job at the textile mill just wasn't cutting it, so he took to doing engineering projects for Vegeta to make up for what he couldn't afford-- which was a lot. Now that he's gone on strike with many of his coworkers, these projects are the only way he can support his family...and it's left him much deeper in debt than he's comfortable.
Although he might not be openly aware of what's happening until later in the plot, he will fight tooth and nail for what he cares about. Further more, there's one thing that always holds true: he doesn't like following orders that he doesn't like.
If anyone has any burning ideas on what to do with either of my boys, drop a notice here. I'm open to ideas, especially regarding Cliff. I'd like to expand his CR a little with this event to include more adults, since he is sadly lacking in company that isn't in their teens or twenties.
