Chouji is frowning. He can't say he likes being here without Shikamaru. His teammate is both more strategically-minded and more experienced with the Malnosso and their motivations. Still considering everything, one of the factors to consider is which way he thinks Shikamaru might vote, were he here.

Leveling a city doesn't sit well with him, but neither does alienating another group, and he doesn't feel like they have enough knowledge to work off of yet in any case. Chouji really wishes Ino had access to her chakra here, because a mind transfer jutsu for intelligence-gathering would be useful.

"Even if we do decide that they need to be stopped, I wouldn't be willing to sabotage the bomb unless someone here really understands how it works. I don't think any of us do. I can fight people, but I don't want to meddle with this kind of technology." Not when they'd be going in blind, not if there's any alternative.
