Hey guys, Akai’s busy working on important things like the future of Luceti, so the task of this month’s event has fallen to me! So, while she does that, here's a little event to tide you all over. You might recognize it. I like to think it's pretty familiar to most of you, at any rate.

How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

B) Applications will be opening on December 1st, so now is a good time to start recruiting/kidnapping your friends! As always Reserves are already open. The Test Flight Meme from last month seems to still be active, but if people would prefer, we can certainly post a new one. Just let us know! It might be helpful to run them bi-monthly, anyway.

C) I’m sure most of you have noticed, but in the last week, Masa and Bayley have unfortunately left Luceti, which means that on top of losing two wonderful long-term players, the mod team has lost some heavy hitters in the plot department. Masa especially has been a huge driving force to Luceti’s plot and development over the last couple of years, so while his departure was not entirely a surprise, it has left the rest of us somewhat flummoxed over how to fill the void his presence has left. A lot of the plot developments, NPC interactions, and mission systems were organized by him. So now that it’s up to us, where does that leave the game?

Well… it’ll be interesting.

Moving right along! We have a fairly major announcement today regarding app cycles. We mods have discussed it, and we have decided that starting in October, apps will be open the first week of EVERY month. You read that right. Gone are the days of having to wait two months to put in your app! Regarding reserves, they will continuously be open, but we’ll clear them out at the end of each app cycle. So, they’ll effectively open immediately following this post, and we’d clear out the current set of reserves after apps close at 11:59 PM EST on October 7. HMD and Activity Check will still take place every other month, as will the Test Flight meme and the Bi-Monthly Round Up. Spread the word! Tell your friends. This is pretty rad, after all.

Hi everyone! After a long time, we finally have a new mission. First off, our apologies for how long it's been since the last one. Six months without one is awful and we'll be making sure it won't happen again now that we have Bayley to help work on them. Because it's been so long since the last one, feel free to sign up for this one even if you were on the last one. We'll go back to the usual rotation after this.

You have until the 6th to sign up, then we'll lock in the sign ups and get the final details up. We'll also have an announcement for the vote mentioned in the post.

If you're new here, then this is a mission post. You can find available missions at rpmanager. You are welcome to subscribe or track the journal, but this is not required, as updates will be posted on this journal.
