EVENT START!

Righto guys, vote came out on top for Monday. So here we go; if you have school, don't worry, this will go on long enough for you to have fun with it.

After all...you kind of have to draw out The End.




First of all, this event is courtesy Lunare; you can look at her original proposal here. Lunare, I tried to get ahold of you via AIM to see if you wouldn't mind me adding something to your idea, but I didn't see you on the same time I was, so if you have an objection to it, could you tell me here? D: I didn't want to tweak your idea without your permission.


This event is going to take place in stages; first and foremost...the barrier is gone. The mountains are free to explore, but that building that's past it? Abandoned. Empty, dusty, with only a few overturned tables, a couple jail cell-like rooms with chains on the walls, etc. There is a console that is built into a wall and a tank, large enough for a full grown man to fit inside; the console's monitor is empty and dead, and the electricity that once ran through the building is long gone, a rusted, busted generator locked up in a room deeper inside. Everything is beyond repair and/or salvage.

The sky is also no longer a beautiful azure blue; now, it glares down red, the sun a blinding white against its new backdrop. The space beyond the barrier is huge and expansive...but there is an eventual end. It would take several days to reach, but once found it will be clear that there is no escape from Luceti.

For the land cuts off, a sheer cliff that tapers inward on the land; beneath it is more red sky, and the water from the rivers roars as it plummets into nothingness. A floating island, stranded from anything and everything you may once have known.

EDIT: Thank you, Ion-mun. I forgot. During this event, powers are completely restored to full. Also, Death Penalties are void. Whatever your character lost, they have it back during this time.

The characters are still gonna appear in the world as they normally would; in either a house or the woods. They'll just see that hoshit, this world is pretty effed up.

How can all the equipment be beyond even salvage unless it's like... atomized?

Well, unless you feel like breaking out a tool kit. Most of it's metal and rusted and eaten away like it's been years and years. I suppose if you want to take the scrap home or something, you can play with it. But it'll be gone after the event's over.

Waitaminute. So if this is all one big illusion, and powers are restored to full, wouldn't characters that can totally see through illusions know it's just a fake?

That depends on whether or not it's actually an illusion. Like I said above, the original idea needed to be tweaked slightly to fit in Luceti's actual premise. It's not the type of illusion that's induced by magic or anything of the sort, though, I can tell you that. Does that make a difference?

Yes and yes! People with magical wings and stuff like that will have their wings back, they'll just be in addition to their Filial wings.

Ok, serious question this time: When it occurred, where there any visual local disturbances, sounds, etc that people would notice other than the sky turning red and the barrier ceasing? i.e. Was it a gradual change, thunder claps, the sound of machinery humming off? Some stimuli that to be noticed?

Hmm, that's right, her thing said an explosion...I'm gonna forego the explosion, considering that it would be completely and totally random in this case. And the answer is no; the sky simply just snapped to red like changing a light switch, and the barrier just suddenly wasn't there. The change was seamless.

...what if the characters full powers include that of dimension travelling? I suppose they will still be unable to leave?

I actually just talked to you, eh. o/ But I'm gonna hafta say that it's a case by case situation; if anyone else has a dimension-hopping character, PLEASE ask me before having them travel to any crazy places.

Unfortunately can't do that; people who've been kidnapped usually do it for hiatus or personal plot, so it's up to them whether or not they get released. And people are still being brought in from somewhere anyways, so everyone's gonna know that something's up.

This is just a 'just in case' question, since barring other characters testing sleep inducing or vegitable causing powers on Gaara, it is probably 99.999% impossible to happen...but what would happen if Shukaku got out, it usually being about three times the height of a very tall tree and generally destructive and all?
