-EVENT!-
In the spirit of Halloween -although this won't be extending to it- we give you a spooky event.
Basically, you guys are gonna get haunted. Some of you, anyways. If your character has ever had a loved one die (of course, this means that it would have had to have happened in their canon BEFORE the point you took them from) then your character will be haunted by that ghost.
How many ghosts can our character be haunted by?
Even if your family and friends that number in the thousands have died, we're setting the bar at three. Choose carefully!
Can everyone see/hear the ghosts?
No, only your character can see/hear the ghosts they are being haunted by, unless they give permission. For example: Character A is haunted by Dead Mom. Character A tells Character B about Dead Mom; Character B can now see and hear Dead Mom. This does not work for unintentional revelations, aka: "Why the hell are these ghosts following me?!" kind of posts.
What do the ghosts look like?
As for their form, they are wispy and colorless, classically ghost. They are intangible, and their voices sound as if they are coming from through a wall, or sound like they've echoed through a canyon before reaching your character's ears.
They will also appear in the condition they were in before they died. For example, if a person was shot to death, then he or she will be riddled with bullet holes pouring blood. If a person died of a disease, then they will appear sickly and frail, however the disease affected them. If a person dies from being crushed into a tiny pulp...well okay, obviously they can't be a mound of flesh, but they'll probably have crushed bones, bleeding orifices and the like. Be imaginative.
Hold the phone, my character's chosen ghost died, but s/he's here in Luceti!
That so? Well, guess what; yer gettin' haunted anyhow. For example, Zack is here in Luceti, but Cloud's still gonna see Zack. So yes, characters can also interact with ghosts of themselves, provided they've been told about said ghost.
So are we gonna have to play these ghosts?
If you want to log with another character, presumably yes. However, the ghosts can't interact with the journals at all, so no posting with their voices or anything of the like.
What do the ghosts act like?
Their old selves, they aren't vengeful or anything (unless, of course, they were vengeful in canon). They might seem a little distracted, however, like they can't keep themselves focused.
When's this thing over?
The event begins tonight, 12:00 EST, and will come to an end next Sunday, the 26th, at noon.
Any additional questions may, as usual, be asked here! I'm sure there's plenty I've missed, since that's apparently my reoccurring trend with these event posts.
EDIT!
What kind of people can haunt my character?
Anyone that impacted your character's life; enemies, family, friends, anyone that significantly changed your character can haunt him or her.

As you've stated, only your own character can see the ghost, unless they 'give permission' to another character.
So, here's the question. What if the person the ghost is of is in Luceti? And the first person told the second person about the ghost? Would that second person then end up seeing their own ghost? Because I have a particularly DEVIOUS idea regarding it~

...to put it mildly, anyhow. o/

Okay, but, question, what if you aren't SURE if the character is dead in canon? My case: Dave Nails, Badou's brother, was bleeding profusely and fell into the lower strata and presumed dead years ago in his canon, but it was never confirmed.

If you aren't sure, you should probably not do it since that's technically not true to canon. I can think of an example to this, but it would be spoilerish for D.Gray-man, so I won't say it.

If it helps, he doesn't know for sure (if at all) that she's his mom.

Actually, I have a question. If you want your character to be haunted, does it have to be the entire event, or can you have the ghost appear say a few days into the event?

Yuan's known so many people who've died, it's not even funny anymore. But I think I can limit it to three, because when it actually comes down to impact... XD
Oh, question. Does the great Deku Tree count as a ghost for Navi? I mean, it's a sentient being and all, but it's still a tree.

purelymostlymaybe selfish reasons. Also, what about a person that the character never met, but who died during their lifetime and had a profound impact on shaping their life in the future...? I guess that's kind of a question of: Do they pick their own ghosts, or do their ghosts pick them...?

If you're talking about Aang -which I, being the genius I am, am assuming you are- and the previous Avatars, then that's cool if he has them haunt him.
