Event time~. But since this one is a bit more complicated than previous ones, I am posting a sign up and explanation here. The event isn't starting now, I will announce when it actually DOES start.
All right everyone, the basic idea of this plot is a personality "switch" for the characters. Originally, I had figured the good guys would become bad guys, and the bad guys would be good guys. But that's kind of vague and generic, don't ya think? There isn't always a clear definition of good and evil, and some characters don't exactly fit into either category. So I am basically leaving it up to you guys exactly how your character's personality changes. If you think the good to evil or evil to good thing fits them, then go right ahead, but I am not limiting you guys to that simple switch. You are free to make the "opposite" personality as complex as you want. And really, you all don't have to ask me any questions about the switch unless it is going to affect a vast majority of the people here in Luceti.
Also, to liven things up a little, the Malnosso are returning your characters powers to a certain extent. Think of it this way, your characters are pretty much down to anywhere between 15- 25% of their original power while in Luceti. While this event is going on, everyone will go up to 50% power, giving them a small boost from where they are now.
Now you're all probably wondering how this is all going to work out. Especially with a vast majority of the characters here being "good guys." If everyone changed at once, all hell would break loose in the village and I think the damage would be irreversible. I'm lookin' at you, Stella. So here is how I am going to have it work. You guys are going to have to choose which characters you want to affect, right here right now, and sign up. There will be three waves of changes, each lasting three days each. The event will start at midnight EST on the night of Monday, April 28th, and end at midnight EST on the night of May 7th.
During each cycle, whoever signed up for that batch of days will be affected. Once the cycle of three days ends, then those character NO LONGER change personality. Their time is done, and no, you guys can't sign up for more than one cycle. So an example would be this: I sign Luke up for cycle 1. This means that starting at midnight EST on the night of Monday April 28th, Luke's personality can change. But once midnight EST on the night of May 1st hits, he can no longer change. He's done. And the next cycle of characters begins, and will last until midnight EST on the evening of May 4th. And so on and so on until the end.
As for how exactly this event works, here we go. During your characters cycle, they don't have to be changed the entire time. They can switch back and forth between their normal and "opposite" personality. However, they can't control when they change. The only warning they will receive before the other personality takes over is an excruciating headache. They may try to fight whatever's taking over them, but in the end they can't succeed. After a few hours however, they can revert back to their normal selves, but they will remember everything they do while they are in their other mode. So basically, they can angst over it, and worry when they'll change again... especially if they do something really bad. The amount of hours your characters stay changed is up to you guys, but it might be wise to switch them back and forth a little. It'll make things more interesting.
If you guys want to have your character pull off a big stunt that may damage a large portion of the village or hurt a lot of people, PLEASE run it by me (Kris) first before doing anything. I would severely appreciate it. And of course, run it by any other muns if you wish to involve any of their characters. I trust that there may be a fair amount of havoc brought about by this event, and that is why I am doing my best to keep some semblance of control.
