Mission Update!

Droid Sabotage - Begins September 21st (fyi: we pushed the date up by one!)
Field Leader: Steve Rogers; Security: Alia Shepard, Sophie, Rogue, Greg Lestrade, Gai Tsutsugami, Masaomi Kida, Leonhardt; Stealth: Trafalgar Law, Fujiko Mine, Nara Shikamaru, Albert Silverberg, Loki; Technicians: Donatello, Artemis Fowl II, Daisy, Tony Stark; Programmers: Robert Hastings, Pascal, Doctor “Eggman” Robotnik, Raine Sage

New mission will come later this month! We're going to try out a shorter sign-up time to see if it raises more volunteers.

If you're new here, then this is a mission post. You can find available missions at [personal profile] rpmanager. You are welcome to subscribe or track the journal, but this is not required, as updates will be posted on this journal. For those of you who don't know about missions, the links below should help you out. I suggest you start with the Mission FAQ first!

The log is going up for this current mission at the same time. Check out the details inside for a special chance for one character to play ‘hero’ and save the day. However playing hero doesn’t come cheap, either. There will be a thread on here to volunteer for this role!

Feel free to discuss and ask questions here! You may use this as a plotting post for the upcoming mission(s) as well.

Simplicity? What's that? Besides, I love the idea of surgically dismantling the organization.

Who's with me?

Am definitely veering more towards combining B and C. Basically use a distraction as a front to pulling off a kidnapping.

Re: VOTING

Daisy's voting for the scenario of combining B and C for the diversion team.

EDIT: Sadly, as mentioned, too much of a distraction could make the Malnosso suspect something is off. Daisy is preferring B as of now, but A is still out of the question.

That beign said, Shikamaru's idea of playing so all paths elad to a victory is still a very tempting option.

C + 1/2 B

And seconding (fourthing?) the others on the idea of combining a little B as a a diversion/distraction to try to help their odds slightly. (ICly thinking it'd increase odds, ooc don't care)

If the rest of the group wants to combine B & C, then Gai would be willing to go for that too.

While Rogue can see the value of kidnapping a bureaucrat, ICly she'd be... very wary of getting caught by mad scientists, for any number of reasons. She'd rather stick with the option that kills the least amount of people and gives them the biggest chance of getting in and out without being caught... and then potentially handed over to the rogue scientists for experimentation.

My vote is that B/C combo everyone's been talking about I guess, though the way I imagined it it looks more like this:

*

Various possibilities, but if the RNG gods are unkind and it's too much a risk, it basically becomes a neat little Plan B. Every option should be accomplish-able with four people or less.

Aka the B maybe B+C (slight dash of A) combo
neversurrender: ([PB] that's very good news)

Also voting for the B/C combo. It seems like the most effective and potentially strongest strategy.

Lestrade is voting B and not against a B/C combo.

Albert would have remained tight-lipped on his thoughts about the three diversions tactics, then agreed with Shikamaru's multi-step (combo plan) tactic when proposed.

B/C combo flowchart plan. Tony trusts Shikamaru's strategy here. :|a

Don doesn't really like any of these options, but if ordered to vote he would pick B. He does not approve of kidnapping anybody.

Raine would wait for all of the information and pros and cons to be discussed before introducing her input. She'd ideally want whatever is the most effective and less compromising to them (she tends to want more practical, quick and effective measures, so that might come into play for decisions on what the A team actually does when they go out-- really, too bad no one is around to make "don't set the base to explode" jokes), but in the end she'll accept the compromise. She'd be concerned if it takes too much time--and if it runs a risk of that, or fails--suggests that they have a backup plan just so they can get the job done.
