It sucks that we have to do this with half of the players on hiatus, but there's little point to dragging this out much further. OKAY GUYS WE'RE GONNA WRAP UP THIS INTRUDER THING WITH STYLE.
Sometime between now and the following date provided, there will be either a John or ANI post warning Luceti of the intruders' impending arrival. Included in this post will be a warning, brief instructions and the time limit in which the enemies must be disposed of (and why there's a time limit at all).
On Saturday, August 29th at 6:00 PM EST a log will go up in the Logs Comm with an NPC journal; this will be the log of the invasion of intruders. As it's been quite some time since their initial arrival, they've called for a fair amount of reinforcements. As in a freaking ton of them; we were thinking around 300 or so.. On a whole they'll look like normal humans; odd eye and hair and skin colors here or there, but on the whole they'll look human. They don't have any weapons on them, but seem to wield invisible blades, spears, etc. Their uniforms are plain white shirts, pants and boots, and there are both women and men mixed into the ranks. They will -of course- have long wings that defy physics and let them fly; all different colors, much like the Luceti residents'. They are capable of using Filial magic and will do so on occasion; also, they seem to have strange powers that can only be described as telekinesis, though they don't use them very often. As if they can't, really. However, please keep in mind while doing these logs that these intruders are not pushovers. They are also seasoned and accomplished warriors, and will put up a fair bit of fight.
There will also be a general who will be willing to speak to characters, to a degree (he'll have an icon so you'll know what his face looks like); the soldiers themselves have been ordered into silence and will not volunteer information, though your character is free to try and wrench some out of them.
What we need from players -because this log has the potential to be huge- are three things:
-Since the time limit is going to be set at about 24 hours, we need you to let us know beforehand how you'd like the thread to go. Just post your first comment to the log with either what you'd like to happen ("I want my character to kill this many soldiers," "I want my character to be injured this way," "I want my character to die" etc). If you aren't sure, contact either Akai or Egg and we'll talk it out with you. If you're okay with waiting until the thread is finished to post or interact with your character involved, you don't have to bother specifying anything. If you get unreasonable with your demands ("I want my character to kill the entire army"), we'll end up negotiating with you in the thread itself. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BOTHER WITH SOME BIG OL' FIGHT LOG, comment saying "can my character do this this and this?" and we will either go "yay," "nay" or "well why not this?" So you can assume your character did some badassery without having to actually do it.
-If your character is going to die, PLEASE LET US KNOW and clear a Death Penalty with us. Because you will need one for this.
-PLEASE OH GOD BE PATIENT. Not only are fight logs kind of tedious for most people, there is also only two of us answering all of you guys. We'll do our best to shoot off tags ASAP, but please don't fret if you end up having to wait a little while.
We figured that some people would want dibs on the general, so if you'd like for your character to talk to the general in your thread on the log, put "General" in the subject. Also, we also figured that there would be more than one person who'd like their character to KILL the general, so we'll be taking volunteers for that in this post and then drawing a name out of a hat or rolling dice or something else random.
Edit by Akai: Just a note to say that you can only vounteer one character for the option to kill the general, so choose wisely! Also it has to be someone of sufficient ability who does it. ie. someone like Cloud could pull it off but not like. Denzel. If he was here. Anyway.
Also, as it's very difficult to not realize a ton of people being on hiatus, we are cool with backdating on the log itself. HOWEVER. Make sure that whatever you do in the log is reflected in your characters. Meaning that if you post with little Bobby and he's peachy keen two days later and then tag the log and ask us to rip his arm off, that would be silly. Vice versa, if you post with little Nancy and have her suffering head trauma and blood loss, and then request that we do a thread where she rips 1,000 troops to ribbons and doesn't get a scratch, this will not fly. HOWEVER. If you give little Tommy a concussion and then request us to give him a concussion in the log, this is a-okay.
EDIT #1 I FORGOT. You are of course welcome to thread with other characters on the log; let us know if you need fighters in the thread though, okay?

Okay so I forgot. Characters are getting their powers back for this.
Also, FEEL FREE TO PLAY WITH OTHERS ON THE LOG, threadhop around (though you should ask first :|).
There will be a General thread on the log where people can talk/fight with the General, but only one will get to land the killing blow and we'll announce him/her before the log goes up.
PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF THE HOLY FATHER make sure you tell us what you want to happen with your character on your thread in the log and not just here, because we love you guys but we are not both playing the NPCs and cross-checking on this to make sure we're Doing It Right. We just will not have the time.
FEEL FREE TO ASSUME THAT SOME SOLDIERS WILL BREAK THROUGH AND ENTER THE VILLAGE! So that those staying home with the kids can have fun too.
