Oh, and now I have a question: if two characters are from the same canon and one is from an AU such that they believe they always have been from there, does that person remember the other as being the same as their AU in Luceti or do they believe that they always have been AUs of each other?
Let me try by example. Say we have waterbending Sokka and unaffected Katara, where he believes the AU is his original canon (i.e. this isn't Sokka waking up going "hey I can waterbend", like with the boob-screaming, but rather the "of course I can waterbend :|", like with the make-up applying). When Sokka remembers what he and Katara have done in Luceti, does he remember her being in Luceti as:
1) Normal Luceti Katara, the waterbender from the original canon. He would then remember a confusing meeting there wherein, in Sokka's memories, they realized they could both waterbend. Thus Katara would seem unchanged from his memories on the 15th, as he already remembered that Luceti Katara was from a different reality. Or would he remember her being in Luceti as:
2) Sokka's AU Katara, the nonbender from his AU. He would remember things being completely normal to his AU up until the 15th. On the 15th, it would seem from his point of view that Katara suddenly became AU so that she could waterbend.
If the answer is 1, would this change if Katara was from the same AU for the event? That is, would he think she had returned to being "normal" (i.e. his AU) Katara, or would he believe she had been AU Katara all along?
Also if Sokka did the boob-screaming-type wake-up to his waterbending powers, would he remember Katara as from his original canon since he remembers himself from his original canon?
...And if you need me to clarify, let me know. Even with the example my explanation turned really clunky.
