I have to disagree myself. The fact you are given random questions reflects the way the game works. You're going to come across the conversations that your character would normally not experience in their respective canon. By being thrown curveball questions, it allows you to show just how well you are able to portray your characters voice. If a question doesn't apply to your character, then you need to think of how they would respond to it when and if it came up in game. There is always the option of writing the first person sample itself.
