How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

Kaori's been fun to interact with so far. I don't yet completely understand how she thinks, but that's probably because I haven't been following all of her threads with characters like Knives. Still, I really like her! Looking forward to seeing more.

Tora, I got to say this right now. You have spoiled me for all other Keiichi players on LJ. I've played with a couple others including yours and I just can't believe how much I love your portrayal of him compared to the rest. I think I like what you do is that you don't overuse his playful and moderately perverted side to a point where it becomes frustrating to look at. Instead you take a much more maturer Keiichi and develop and shape him into a fascinating character, far beyond what other players have done.

I know Bern isn't the easiest character to bounce off him because she is a major sociopath and wants to see him breakdown into a million pieces, but I love every chance we get to thread despite that. I'm very happy with the CR we have between them and their dynamic thus far. Stay awesome with him Tora, because you're doing great so far.

I don't know much about Ami's canon other than what you've told me, but I really like the thought and detail you put into her motivations and actions. I do agree that you should consider using the action brackets more - I know I essentially spam them with Robert, but that's because so much of what he does is in his head - and I think that's quite similar for Ami, from what I've seen of her personality so far.

Also I love how she interacts with Robert. |D

You've heard me say this a billion times before (and will continue to hear me say it) but I really like Helios. Even though he has traits that could easily make him a Gary Stu, you manage to play him consistently without making him infuriating or overpowered, which is a good sign that you've got a strong grasp on what makes him tick. He seems a lot like a real person with how he's played, and I find him easy to identify with.

Her way of thinking is essentially she loves who she loves, and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect them, even if it means killing a whole race or something like that, and she seriously sees no problem with it because she's mentally messed up. As of now she can go either way when it comes to which side she's on depending on who influences her more, maybe Aerith can help her along, too? :3
