It really depends on where they're at and what might be deemed reasonable for the location. Like those who are doing research or testing at a Malnosso facility would have pretty typical quarters to room in for the duration. For instance, during Kurt's stay with them, he's been sharing quarters with a random NPC because they use bunkbeds. The cafeteria food is pretty plain too.

But even if two characters are doing information research, they might not necessarily be going to same place. So qualify of quarters and food might vary. Either way, they're being taken care of. It might not be luxurious, but it's always going to be at least adequate.
