I know it seems unfair, and ICly, it was a low blow to make. It's why she made it- she's not a nice person all the time and that was an opportunity to show it. As for her bringing it up in the argument OOCly, I talked it over with Rea and Bayley beforehand that she would likely discuss Apep and Steve and Tony not being there, and asked if they were cool with it. If they hadn't been, I wouldn't have had her bring it up, because it would have been very inconsiderate to do so without their permission. It's not something to be sprung on other players and I took care to make sure we were all on the same page as far as that part of the discussion would go- because of the nature of the plot and their characters. The Apep plot was as open as everyone involved could make it. We advertised it as much as possible and as with every plot, some joined in and some chose not to- and there's nothing wrong with that. Everyone can't be involved with everything and no one involved with the plot holds it against those that didn't.

I'll have to agree, the Old Spice thing was very cracky on my part. I wrote up the post at a time when I felt like I was probably going to drop the character and figured one last troll wouldn't matter, and didn't think I'd get the kind of response that I did. I thought I'd be taking him out with a bang, or at least a derpy kind of spectacle. Due to the response I got, and the sheer amount of attention the post received I've ended up all the more enamored with him and have been trying my best to keep from tripping into that level of craky parody since because Dragon's Age is done best when the parody is subtle rather than the overt sort of tribute I did then.

Ben I'm still getting my feel for, the voice is easy but keeping up with the sheer amount of history to the character is a challenge I'm happy to meet. I've got excellent cast mates to help me along and resources to make certain I don't slip up with him.
