Well, I doubt that the nonhuman bit will come up easily, since she tries to keep it on the down-low amongst even people who aren't human themselves (other than with other Ferines like Walter and Oscar). Even if she were caught with the glowy hair, she'd at least try to explain it away as something else. However, being comfortable with swimming she is less shy about sharing, so that could perhaps be their initial point of contact, if that would work for you? The other stuff might come up over time.
