Rebuild!Shinji is more or less the same as anime!Shinji, so that still fits! Devil is pretty fitting for him personality-wise, I think, but like you said, everything is messed up because that's just... how it is, no matter what people tell him, haha. I think if you took away the piloting/saving humanity thing, then he'd be the Devil. So that totally works! I'm looking forward to him puzzling over the Social Link thing some more. c:
