So here we are. On Dreamwidth. Cozy, ainnit?

Okay, let's get some things out of the way first. Whether you're new here or moved with us, there might be some things you missed. Make sure you posted to the Taken Characters page, the add/remove page, and that you have added yourself to the Contact spreadsheet. Please do not comment to have yourself added to the Contact page. For the moment, you still need to add yourself. If you don't know how to do that, then you may wait until after the page has been updated into its old format.

If you haven't already, you may need to update your username on the locations and re-register pets. You will also need to setup information on the Mission Tracking again, though that's optional.

Secondly, I want to thank everyone who contributed to lucetifunds. We had some very, very generous donations. If you were one of the people who donated, then you are awesome! Thank you! However, we still have a lot of tokens currently unspent. So if you haven't already and you could use some paid time for awhile, then you can post here with your request. Your comment will be automatically screened and we'll get you set up with something. Don't be shy about asking for a little paid time. It would be a shame to let those token go to waste.

Now then, I know you guys wanted a Fourth Wall Event? Well guess what? You're getting one. That's gonna be the 28th and 29th, this Saturday and Sunday. If you haven't had one with us, here's the basics of how it works:

For two days, all posts and logs in Luceti will be open for characters and journals not in Luceti. These guest characters will be free to run amok in Luceti, interacting with characters in the game. That means you can bring out your secondary journals for fun or get your friends from other games to come and tag you. Character doubles, AUs, and all sorts of things are fine.

At the end of the two days, everything will be back to the way it was before the event and no one will remember anything that happened. The only way people will know anything happened is that their calenders seemed to skip ahead two days.

Since these two days essentially don't matter to the game, feel free to post with your characters, even if they are currently on a missions, are kidnapped, dead, or not intro'd yet. This event is just for fun! Continuity is not an issue here.

The event will run from 12:01 AM EST (UTC -05:00) on the 28th to 11:59PM EST on the 29th. We ask that you don't forward date any posts and that you don't backdate anything more than a few hours after the event ends. It will just get confusing otherwise.

And that's all you need to know! Besides that, we'll be finishing up applications soon. If you're still waiting, we're sorry that things have been slow this time, but we'll get to you soon. Also, expect a Malnosso post sometime after the 4th Wall. We'll be announcing some new missions, including exclusive missions to send characters on. So keep an eye out for that!

This isn't big enough to make an actual post on it in the OOC, but:

Once again, Gaston is coming to Luceti to deal with that wretched beast that haunts the village -- that is, Moro (biteoffherhead)! I was too busy to advertise it properly when I tried it last year, so while I got some trolling from Luceti's populace, I didn't get to do what I was really for -- which is to say, a recreation of the Mob Song!

However, if this is to be accomplished, I would need a few people to be the mob. I rather expect that I won't find any in Luceti willing to go along (though feel free to if you would -- there won't be any consequences after this weekend, after all), but if anyone has a petty villain or a well-intentioned person who gets carried away by talk of Moro's supposed villainry I could borrow to be Gaston's henchpeople, that would be super! This would involve largely singing the song -- possibly exactly, but possibly with small adjustments if they come to you (for example, "fifty Frenchmen" could be changed to "fifty henchmen" if one isn't French but is hench).

Let me know if you are up for that, so I can figure out if I can reasonably go through with this! And if anyone wants to claim another role (the defending furniture, Belle and her papa, or something else entirely), that would be cool, too.

This is also a fine place to bring up any other potential things that you want to do to Gaston.

I am very interested. And I have two characters who could be persuaded to join in, either for trolling purposes or because they'd actually believe Gaston.

1) Kvar from Tales of Symphonia. Squinty-eyed, greasy-haired, very sadistic. (feelsthepain)
2) Princess Clara from Drawn Together. Designed to be the parody of a Disney Princess, Clara is a snobby daddy's girl who was cursed by her 'evil' step-mom. She's also a homophobe, a racist and she gets off on car crashes. (puristprincess)

I think having both participate might be overkill, so... Pick your pick!

Personally, I would be very interested in seeing Gaston and Clara interact. So... Yup, I guess I would pick Clara.

I have to say, I was leaning towards Clara. I've never actually seen Drawn Together, but your description makes her sound like someone I'd like to see bounced off Gaston.
