How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

I want to thank everybody on the mod team for all their hard work.

For all the list updating, for answering questions, for making themselves available to talk to and willing to discuss issues. For being willing to make a game concrit thread at all on the HMD. For doing their best to be at the very least civil, but more often accommodating and friendly.

And for the events, for writing up huge posts and doing a billion tiny things like keeping CALENDARS so that we know what the WEATHER is, and writing up explanations for how the journals work and for looking for player input every time you turn around.

And shit, when applications roll in and there's five thousand of them and they still do their best to read through each one thoroughly and make a decision on it that isn't hasty, because they have the courtesy to think of players who'd want to play with castmates that have it right. And for not just denying all the questionable applications outright, but asking for rewrites at least half the time.

For keeping up a PLOT in such a bigass game, hell. And all the busy work that goes into keeping a train this big chugging along.

It really, really takes a fuckton of work to keep something like this going and I think that despite whatever tweaks may be necessary you guys are doing a Goddamn bang-up job. Thanks for not giving into your frustrations, or taking it out on players, and thank you for trying to make as many people happy as you can.

<3 I'm always astounded by the amount of work you guys put into this game! It's definitely the best I've ever played at on LJ and one of my all-time favorite places to RP, period!

I cannot imagine how much works goes into this game. Heck, I was just a tech-mod and I still got overwhelmed with what seemed like such an easy job.

You guys come up with all these plots with such intricate details, doing your best to answer each and every question that comes with it, and doing so patiently and with such enthusiasm that people can't help but be excited about what's going on in the game. It's such a huge place, yet you guys still keep it up and going, and you still find time for RL and to thread around, too!

Applications take a whole lot of work, a whole lot of planning and a whole lot of consideration, especially when there's so many of them! You guys are still on the ball. You make sure the app is good, make sure that everyone gets looked at and that the castmate gets a good player. So much work goes into it!

And the fact that you just keep adding detail to such a world - designing the houses, keeping up with the weather, creating new things for people to play with, it's just... Wow. And you guys are still some of the best mods, too. ALL of you are so easy to approach with a problem or a request or something, and I know I've NEVER felt that way with mods from other games. You guys make sure not to put yourselves on a pedestal by including everyone and making everything fair, though you're not afraid to step in if you need to.

I, too, want to thank you guys, for being so damn amazing in such a great game like this. Thank you, thank you. Keep being awesome.

Yes! This! I know I gave crit above, but that doesn't mean I don't think the mods here are AMAZING! Seriously, I am sometimes BLOWN AWAY at the amount of work all the mods must have to do. This is a huge game and I'm impressed that they can keep it going with so few people. I remember when mod apps came out I knew I would never touch it with a ten foot pole. All the work that the mods would have to do scared me. I cannot figure out how they manage work/school, their characters, RL issues that are not school/work related, all the photoshop and other things they do, the apps, listening to people, and just... EVERYTHING and not end up sitting in a corner, rocking back and forth, and muttering to themselves - because that's what would have happened to me!

So yes, I gave a little crit, but it was nothing major in my eyes, as little things can slip through the cracks like that and as I said - with my small crit I totally could have fixed it myself long ago if I spoke up about it. It was just that small of an issue for me I kept forgetting and putting it off because I myself wasn't sure if I wanted to deal with it yet.

So THANK YOU MODS!!!!!!! for being amazing!! I'm not sure if I'll ever really know how you can do it all, but you do!!! You are just awesome and I hope you keep being awesome FOREVER! Because I love this game and everything you do to keep it going and keeping it fun! 8D
