Activity Check Results
The results for the Activity Check are in. Please note that the following characters were either inactive, didn't post to the activity check, or failed to speak to a moderator about their activity. Also added were characters who have dropped, for your convenience.
Copy-paste the following here:
A number of you passed the activity check, but barely. (You know who you are.) Try to pick things up, as it's no fun to character-squat.
If there are any mistakes here, please let us know! Additionally, if your character was removed and you're still active, feel free to appeal to one of us about keeping your character. However, please remember next time to stay active and post to the Activity Check. Thank you!
And as always:
HMD
How's My Driving?
This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!
Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.
ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

Masamune
Or my personal HMD for all of them here.

Re: Masamune
Sokka is awesome, and I enjoy Nightcrawler/Kurt as well. I'm sorry some of my threads with both of them drag out sometimes, but I will let you know that I like reading threads with both of them/posts from them. I can't really offer anything constructive beyond that, unfortunately, but it's better than nothing.
Clearly I need to look at the other three as well. The end.

Except that I do like watching Sokka mature. His time in Luceti is helping him smooth out those rough edges. Soon - he might just be - a real man! (Gasp! Even though he pretty much is considered a man with that whole rite of passage, and then marrying age but) ANYWAY. It's been really cool watching him 'grow up.'
I also need to familiarize myself with some of your other characters. Maybe.

But I guess I can't now. 8|
Anyway, I'm glad you've noticed Sokka growing up like that (and haven't interpreted it as being ooc!), because it's really fun to get him past his issues while having new ones come out at him from nowhere. Maybe one day he'll be man enough for beard.
Also, clearly you aren't touching them because you don't trust me to not drop them.

Oh, of course not as OOC! It's all a part of character development! What would be OOC is if he stayed the same through all this, and learned nothing from his endeavors.
That's not true. I've tagged Bowser once and Kurt plenty of times.

What I appreciate most about your tagging is your very considerate ability to provide the person tagging with you lots of ground to dig into and springboard off of. Rarely am I left staring at your tags with uncertainty or left thinking "what can I even latch onto in that?" Like any good conversationalist also does, a good roleplayer provides a variety of hooks and I think you get those in. Not excessively -- I mean, it does not come across as forced or fabricated -- but the balance is very, very good and very, very appreciated.
I truly enjoy tagging with you and I know there's a main moddy thing too but I just want to also say that I am very grateful for the mod-work that you do, as well. Keep on rocking in the wing'd world.

Re: Masamune
Actually, Bowser is my favorite of your bunch currently, and I'm probably one of the few who thinks that way. But that's because of my own personal opinion, bias, and love for the King of Koopas. I love how you make him act; how he talks, how he thinks, it's just... it's so different from humans but so appropriate given his world. You have his sense of humor down pat and honestly, he's a joy to follow.
Green Lantern... I know you had trouble with him the last time you had him in Luceti, but I want to say that all of my memories of Justice League and Unlimited tell me you did a great job with him then. And you're still doing a great job even now. I know he can be hard to get out there sometimes, but keep at it. He's a very important character in your repertoire, I think; he rounds out your cast with a truly "serious" person who can get stuff done and he honestly displays how diverse your play style can be.

And you're right about John. It's nice having someone like him in my roster. I've actually been having an easier time now because I think I've got his personality down better and capable of getting him out there a little more. (Besides, I can never drop John. Imagine the humiliation of a redrop!)

So yes! Fantabulous job, I hope we can thread together someday! ♥

Certainly! I may throw him at this very angel, since that kind of thing would intrigue him.

That'd be so awesome! ♥ Nill would like him very much I think. X3

Re: Masamune
ANYWAY. One of my favorite things about you as a player is the fact that you are great at plottish things. We don't even always talk them out in advance, they just evolve so naturally. You are also great at Making It Worse. That thread when Sokka was weirdly cheerful and Jack was trying to explain eunuchs to him was one of my favorites for that. <3
