How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

NAOMI. I don't know why you thread with me in the middle of my inability to remember tags exist and constant not-there-ness, but thank you for it. ;-; <3

I... don't know enough about Link's canon to know whether or not he's IC (I know he squeaked a lot and then went to sleep for a while and then grunted and screamed like a MAN when I pushed him off cliffs accidentally, but OoT is not a game I finished. >>;) SO I'm probably useless for any IC/OOC crit, but YOU PLAY WITH ME and that makes you cool peoples. 8D

Hee, that's basically it, for the game. Since he actually has a personality in it, I use the manga (the producer, Eiji Aonuma, has said that Link's personality in the manga is the one that he imagined for the game, so it counts as canon as far as personalities go). If you want, I can link you to somewhere that has it online? :)

That being said, I really like your Link! I can't say much in terms of if he's IC or not (I'm with Jessie, he squeaked a lot and sometimes he screamed if I ran him over with rocks but I didn't get to finish OoT), but I like reading him. NGL I read his threads with Hisoka, if only because this brat has Hisoka basically stalker-pinned in Luceti and has to know everything ever.

I need to be better about actually playing my characters and play with Link more because it's a pleasure when I do get to.

AHHH YES. Well, post-event, I'll probably be putting something up nearish the battle dome (subject to change!), if she wants to tag in? He'll definitely be wanting the distraction after the... *waves hand* stuff with Hisoka XD;;

XD And I must admit, I've read quite a few threads with Draco and Hisoka, too! (If it wasn't for Harry and Tsuzuki, I'd ship it a little XD)

Naomi my dear, your Link is awesome! I've been playing a bit of OoT on my Wii -- and believe me, I suck at Zelda -- and OoT is one of my favourite of the Zelda games so I think you're doing a great job with him. However, Link does seem to interact with the same people most of the time and I think it's time that he branched out a bit more. :) Otherwise, it's always fun reading his interactions!

Hmm... I have been trying to branch out more, but it does seem like a LOT of interaction with the same people, since I'd generally tag their posts and they generally tag mine. (The full list is here, if you're curious. I'm... mildly obsessive-compulsive about keeping this page updated XD) But yeah. I've been working on it, and will continue to do so :)
