Activity Check Results

The results for the Activity Check are in. Please note that the following characters were either inactive, didn't post to the activity check, or failed to speak to a moderator about their activity. Also added were characters who have dropped, for your convenience.

Copy-paste the following here:

A number of you passed the activity check, but barely. (You know who you are.) Try to pick things up, as it's no fun to character-squat.

If there are any mistakes here, please let us know! Additionally, if your character was removed and you're still active, feel free to appeal to one of us about keeping your character. However, please remember next time to stay active and post to the Activity Check. Thank you!

And as always:

HMD

How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

As with the above comment, I came across this before I actually got the notif (actually, I still haven't gotten an e-mail about Ty's comment), so they both came as very excellent surprises when I was browsing the meme.

Anyway, thank you very much. I often wonder if I'm managing to pull that impression off, since I've never been a teenage girl before. (And, yup, that's how you spell Orerines.) Seriously, though, I spent my teenage years as an introvert with mediocre social skills, so, while I was by no means ostracized from my peers, my mad hermit skills mean that in some ways the mind of a "normal" teen is almost as foreign to me in certain places as the mind of the average fantasy hero, and possibly more of a challenge since people can pick up on the discrepancies more easily (though I can and do take advantage of the fact that she's normal for her world moreso than normal for my own culture's standards). So it's extremely rewarding to hear that I am making her believeable and realistic. Especially right now, since dating? That's one of the very foreign parts to me.

And you better believe that the fun has been quite mutual in both the friend-making and the blowing up. (Awwwwright, second place! Which is pretty impressive given his big CR chart. Sokka being at the top of her smaller list of non-canon friends is perhaps somewhat less impressive, but there you go.) And I greatly look forward to seeing that teal deer -- I love those things. Though I am amused that, at the moment, Fenimore's ranking is listed as being the same as Haruhi's except for having one more dot on the firmness scale.

...And, sob, since there are fewer than 30 scenes with Fenimore talking in them (which includes a few one-liners) you are not exaggerating that much with the 10% thing.
