How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

hi kyra!

i'll try not to get too obnoxiously detailed. mostly, i want to talk about how i appreciate and enjoy the nuance with which you play your characters -- especially jilly. although i've never read her canon, your jilly has such internal consistency and well-contextualized tags that she never comes across as a character i 'don't know enough about to understand' -- if you catch my drift. she is a very sweet and well-meaning character whose story and perspective (in my opinion) add a lot to this game. although she has a very tumultuous background, it's fascinating to watch a character barrel through luceti's setting with such poignant optimism.

faith seems to be jilly's foil on your list of luceti characters, but it's been great to see you tackle that difference and highlight the second slayer's insecurities and fears. the canon-point is a fascinating one! and i am grateful for the fact that you also enjoy a slow-broil build towards reconcilliation between buffy and faith. they both have every right to doubt each other right now and i relish the continued opportunity to have them fumble and glare their way towards an s7-like appreciation of each other and their contributions.

i do know booth's canon but i haven't really seen as much of him around. i know you struggle with his voice but when he is around, he does come across as (for the most part) authentic. of course, i haven't seen every single thread ever but i wonder if sometimes he might be too kind on the surface? booth has a very deep kindness and selflessness but he can be very impatient and brusque in his moment-to-moment interactions. if i've just not stalked enough and have missed that behaviour and perhaps only accidentally ended up biased, please let me know!

the only note i want to end on is that i know you can sometimes be overwhelmed by what's going on in the game and where your threads are at, considering you lead a busy professional life! that's entirely understandable, but i want you to know that my plurk is always open for chatting and planning and even handwaving if there's anything you would like to tidy up.

Hiii Kyra! I was excited to see we had a Faith in the game because she's one of my favorites from BtVS/AtS and what I've seen of her has been awesome. I love the friendship between her and Amelia; the teasing at the party was great. I dropped the ball there but I'm really looking forward to her and Bucky meeting sometime.
