How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

Okay, so canon blindness for sure here because lol original character and also lol I don't know Derek's canon. Also I have not threaded as much with Foot -- and not at all with my current characters. BUT I HAVE TO SAY that Derek is great fun to tag with and the depth of his character and the...reality of his reactions and feelings on subjects is what I most love about both threading with you and in stalking your threads. I admire you for threading your way through an interesting but potentially challenging canon point and status for him and I am keen on seeing where things take you.

For playing someone from a game that was never localized, you manage to portray Spada beautifully, trolling mode and soft side and all. I think you even have his speech pattern down just right, which is amazing since we don't really have much to go on in that aspect.

My only complaint is that I'd like to see him around Luceti more so I can stalk, especially since it looks like we're getting an Iria and Ange. Let the trolling begin. |D

Okay, I can do better that. I'm really happy that Sokka and Winry are such BFFles in Luceti, because their friendship is great (even if he's a little unhappy with her now, he'll get over it). It's great to see Winry so involved and all around Luceti, as I remember she had such a small circle of CR when Sokka met her a year ago. She's like everyone's go-to girl for anything vaguely robotic and it's nice to see her being able to put her own skills to use in a place that often values SUPAH POWAHS so much.

So yeah, long story short, you're doing great. Don't quit being awesome.

I'mma just gush about Dist here for a bit because I'm canon blind on the other two and your Dist totally deserves it.

I love Dist. I saw him as a pretty cracky character when I was first watching the series and honestly hadn't expected much of a positive relationship to develop between him and Ion just because he was a villain and all. But now? I don't think I say enough how much I seriously love the CR between Dist and Ion. <3 In the past few months it's moved from an awkward acquaintanceship into an awkward friendship and it's so cute and ridiculous, I love it.

You're so good at maintaining that balance between a distinguished and intelligent scientist and an immature egotistical jackass. And yet between those, you even manage to bring out that bit of kindness in him that he is just so awkward at showing. I seriously stalk all his threads for forever (his threads with Nephry, Winry, and Guy are especially awesome) and his voice is always just spot-on.

THE ONLY CRIT I HAVE

IS THAT NEITHER OF US HAVE AN ICON OF DIST AND ION SKIPPING THROUGH A FIELD OF FLOWERS AND SHOUJO LOVE BUBBLES YET.

...Honestly? ...Not much. Unlike many of the last HMDs, I can't quite so easily go on for pages and pages about how much I love Mom. Because I've already gone over that with you in private.

Her growth has been fantastic to witness and I'm really glad to play such a central role in it and her life. Certainly not the only one, but one of the big ones. I love how easily we can tag and thread together; it feels effortless, and there's a genuine familial chemistry between Adell and his Mom that I know would be impossible to get anywhere else. That much is unique, and I adore it.

Don't ever drop her. I'm serious. You are not allowed.
