SPAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
Okay guys, here's your draft info. Because there is a LOT here, we'll have a separate post for what will go on in the village. So if you're not on the draft, feel free to skip over this post (unless you're just curious!). There's a lot of info here, but the important thing is people are in space and get to fight bad guys. So don't worry too much if this info bomb is too much for you.
Concerning the battle
First of all, if you didn't already, go familiarize yourself with the draft and enemy details. That can be found here.
Now there's a lot to cover. Let's start with how it's going to play out.
First and foremost, MOST -IF NOT ALL- OF THE FIGHTING WILL BE ASSUMED; in other words, without mods playing the NPCs. If you absolutely must -MUST- play out something of great importance, please let me know and I'll provide an NPC, we can set up a log, something. But please, unless you need it for a specific purpose, don't ask for NPC battles. It will be largely uneventful and full of your character kicking ass and taking names and knocking down buildings and enemies, etc etc. This is to give you guys some freedom as well as keep us from a) getting overloaded and/or b) holding you back.
As you guys know, we're being sent into space. A while back, Lucetians were sent to defend an Underwater Research Base. Although they succeeded in evacuating it and preventing a catastrophic failure, the base was ultimately lost to the sea. This was a huge loss for the Malnosso. There are few places on the planet they can conduct their research without fear of the cultists attacking. Which is why for over a decade they have maintained a research station on the planet's own moon. The cultists were too barbaric and simple to ever be able to reach them beyodn the planet's atmosphere. What could be more safe than that?
The Third Party, never relenting in their strange goals, have found a way to bypass the limitations of the planet. Thanks to their most powerful Shifters, they have carved out asteroid-sized rocks from the very planet itself, so they can propel them past the atmosphere and into space itself. How do they they not burn up in the upper atmosphere? How can they survive in the vacuum of space without specialized equipment? How can they fly in space with their wings? The Malnosso are baffled. The only explanation is that their Shifting has once again proven superior to the Malnosso's own. All that is clear is that they aim to remove all life from the face of the planet's moon. As with the underwater base, this legion is led by The General, one of the most powerful cultists of all.
The Malnosso, in turn, are sending everything they can at it. The moon itself already has its own defenses and troops, but much of the planetary Malnosso Security Forces are being deployed, led by the Commandant herself. Desperate for reinforcements, all of the experimental enclosures have been drawn on to add to the fight. Luceti is no exception. During the first day, the Lucetians will be teleported from the tunnels to a transport ship designated for Luceti and a few other enclosures. This ship is commanded by a face familiar to some of those on previous mission, Specialist Davis. The ship itself itself is large, capable of carrying a crew of two thousand. Those from Luceti will find their own quarters grouped together in one section of the vessel. Limited space means sharing cramped quarters, each of them set up for 2 or 4 people via bunkbeds. These will be their quarters for the duration of the draft. The ship they will be stationed on is called The Liberator.

The Liberator - one of the few Malnosso battleships
The ship itself has a complement of space fighters. And the Malnosso have especially good taste. These special fighters are known as Tyr-Fighters. Any resemblance to space ships from other worlds is purely coincidental. The Malnosso totally don't steal weapon technology from other planets. Okay, but seriously, these are speedy ships with shield technology that shoot lasers. Because the Malnosso adapted these ships from existing fighters from another universe, if you REALLY want technical details, you can read up on them here. Or go play Star Fox. 8|
The Lucetians will leave Luceti and be transported on board The Liberator at 9AM. They will remain there for six hours en route before any of the action begins. During this time, members of the Security Forces will provide information on space combat, information on operating the Tyr-Fighters, operating the turrets mounted on the ship, and wearing the space suits provided. The space suits are conveniently designed skin-tight unitards equipped with light weight armor that will prove to be very durable and while it won't do much to protect from blunt damage, it will prove very difficult to cut. Their helmets have a large face-sized visor on the front with a built in air-filtration system that will continuously recycle air into oxygen for up to ten hours. Characters may add additional armor to their space suits as well as wear whatever they bring with them on top of the space suits. Characters in possession of their own space-ready equipment will not need to make use of the Malnosso space suits.
At 3PM, they'll arrive at an asteroid belt beteween the planet and the moon. Only on further inspection, these asteroids are covered with cultists. This will be the first phase of the battle. The Lucetians will be authorized to make use of the Tyr-Fighters and turrets. Some of the cultists will manage to board the ship as well and combatants on board will need to be prepared to take them out. Some of the asteroids will be small enough for the Tyr-Fighters and turrets to shoot out of the air. The larger ones will require fighters to be deployed to land on the surface of these asteroids and track down the cultists to wipe them out. Additionally they'll be instructed to plant explosives in key areas of these asteroids to blast them into fragments, to prevent them being used to cause destruction on the moon or planet. Flying through this asteroid belt will take several hours before the field is cleared of cultist activity.
At 9PM, they'll finally arrive at the Moon Base. The Liberator will remain in orbit above the base, along with other Malnosso ships. Transporters will allow Lucetians to travel from the moon surface and the ship at will. From the ship they'll be able to access their quarters and supplies. Repairs to the ship will continue and it will be used to launch fighters or operate turrets during the battle. Noncombatants will be able to coordinate efforts from here, work in the sickbay, and perform other duties. However the ship will not be out of danger and cultists may break into the ship to attack.

A Map of the Moon Base
The moon itself will be very much like our own moon in composition, filled with craters and similar gravity. The research base will be composed of many large domes connected by walkways. (This image is a small version of what it would be like. These domes would be several stories high.) One central dome, which will contain a city much like the Underwater Base, will be about two square miles overall, with a population of 5,000 including researchers, soldiers, and their families. Within the domes space suits will not be needed (thought it may be wise to continue using them) due to the presence of breathable air. The cultists will inevitably invade these areas and need dealt with.
With roughly 5,000 people within the central dome, the large majority of whom are civilians, protection of innocent lives will become a top priority. Noncombatant draftees may well be expected to help out with tasks the dedicated fighters can't otherwise take care of. Roles that will need to be filled are mechanics, engineers, communication specialists, evacuation coordinators, teams dedicated to evacuating the wounded, and so on. With so many people to protect on top of a great deal of enemies to fight, noncombatants may find it necessary to step in and help coordinate different teams of fighters, direct the action, alert comrades to incoming forces, and so on. Mechanics and engineers will be needed in and outside the domes to keep equipment in top shape.
The second day will see the fighters defending the Moon Base from the outside, where they will endure lower gravity (similar to our own moon) and be battling from the ground or in Tyr-Fighters. On the third day, the cultists will breach the domes and the fighting will carry over inside the structures. This insurgence is led by none other than The General himself. Characters will have the opportunity to meet him and battle him, which is detailed further on. On the fourth day, a new type of Shifter (also detailed below) will arrive. On the fifth day, the last of the cultists will be wiped out, while most of the time will be spent by noncombatants making repairs, tending to injuries, and other similar duties.
Outside of the dome, there will be no atmosphere and space suits will still be required. Fighting will continue out there, on the ground and above the surface of the moon as well. Capable pilots will continue to be able to make use of the Tyr-Fighters to take down cultists flying over the moon and take down additional asteroids coming towards the planet.
Malnosso Security Forces, Draftees, and NPCs
Unlike previous drafts, there will be a wide variety of NPCs beyond just the cultists. For in depth information on NPCs from other enclosures, check out the Nitpicker's Guide section on Missions. But what you need to know will be here.
Malnosso Security Forces - The military backbone of the Malnosso. They operate much like a modern army, with a clear chain of command and modern weaponry. Most of them are fairly serious soldiers, many of whom have served for several lifetimes. There is some variation among them, as some of them may not even be human. Although many have small wings like the people from enclosures, some of them will have large wings like the cultists as well. They will be operating what is similar to modern weaponry, though modified for use in zero atmosphere. For the most part, they'll be fighting their own battles and won't participate too much with the draftees from the enclosures. But they'll be present to sometimes bail people out of trouble. Expect them to be the ones operating most of the Tyr-Fighters, turrets, and other advanced weapony available. On off hours, they won't talk much with draftees, but they'll answer basic questions on the present situation and give revelant directions. (Notably they use a lot of military jargon and slang. In particular the cultists are called "Sparties".) Most of the soldiers possess no superhuman abilities, but there will be some who may demonstrate super strength, enhanced agility, or other special abilities.
Shift Hunters - Trained Shift Hunters, used by the Malnosso, will be present inside the domes for extra security, typically used for searching out cultists. They will not attack draftees unless attacked first. They are far more tame and docile than the Shift Hunters seen in the wild or used by the Third Party.
Malnosso Researchers - The scientists and researchers responsible for the greatest breakthroughs, whether it's in Shifting science, weapons technology, or waste management. During the battle, most of the personnel will be hiding in their homes or other secure areas. A skeleton crew of key individuals will maintain the systems needed to keep the Moon Base running and will be under heavy guard by the Security Forces. It is unlikely they or their families will interact with the draftees.
Draftees - These are covered in depth in the mission information linked above. They are people much like the characters from Luceti, but have been living in other enclosures. Many of them have been on missions and drafts before, but this will be their first time fighting in a draft alongside the Lucetians. By and large, most of them are not as skilled at fighting as the Security Forces or fighters from Luceti. They are merely average and only a few will possess superhuman powers. These draftees will come from all sorts of different worlds, including those represented by characters in Luceti. However, NONE OF THESE WILL BE EXISTING CHARACTERS FROM YOUR CANON. Any character that shows up in your canon, even as just a face in the background, won't be counted among these. So people in Luceti won't encounter anyone they know. However, if the characters are well known in their own world, the draftees may recognize them. For instance, a draftee might be a normal policeman from the same world as Tony Stark. He would recognize Iron Man, but Iron Man would have never met this particular individual.
The Commandant - The leader of the Security Forces. She will be leading her own forces in battle and may not interact much with the draftees, if at all. Notably she'll have full sized wings and demonstrate amazing skill in battle, comparable to some of Luceti's best.
Specialist Davis - A high ranking soldier fromthe Malnosso Security Forces that often works with the draftees. He'll be commanding The Liberator and provide directives for the draftees during the battle. He will display superhuman strength, agility, and durability during the battle. On the third evening, he'll fall in battle to The General.
NOTE - With the exception of The Commandant and Davis, all other NPCs will not be played by the mods! Their interactions can be handwaved or you can interact with them while tagging other characters. They should be used to enhance your interactions with other Luceti characters, not replace them. Therefor, do not have one-on-one threads with a Luceti character and a generic NPC.
Overall, there will be about 3000 soldiers present and 1500 draftees (including those from Luceti).
The Third Party
The Third Party will consist of their usual fighters. There will be no Shift Hunters on their side during this battle. However, a new type of Shifter will be present on the fourth day.

A typical cultist
Dream Shifters - These Shifters, like all cultists, are indistuishable from their brethren. What makes them unique is their ability to capture an enemy within an opaque sphere of energy, roughly twenty meters wide. Within this sphere, the cultist and their target enter a dream state. In effect, they create a dream world from their victim's subconscious that is everything they could ever hope for. Utterly perfect and what they always wanted. In this dream state, they are able to feed on the person's sanity and strength. In order to prevent the dreamer from snapping out of it, the Shifter assumes the role of an important person to the dreamer. A loved one such as a parent, sibling, child, lover, or whatever person is needed to remain influential and keep them from escaping. A perfect and inescapable prison. The only way for the dreamer to be freed is for another person to enter the sphere and become a part of the dream. Because these Shifters can only effect one person at a time, it will be up to the second person to convince the dreamer to abandon the 'perfect dream' by killing the Shifter, in whatever guise they may currently be using.
These Shifters will lure their victims into solitude using telepathic suggestion or may just straight up ambush people that are separated from others. Malnosso soldiers are trained and ordered to attack these spheres on sight, to prevent a Dream Shifter from finishing a dreamer off. Anyone trapped in one of these spheres will need to be rescued swiftly, lest they be killed along with the Shifter.
The General - The leader of the attack and one of the most notable and powerful cultists in the world. Noted for leading the invasion on Luceti and the Underwater Base, he has a fearsome reputation. It will be possible to confront him on the battlefield. He will not be defeated this time around, but those who encounter him are not doomed to be killed. Although he will most likely injure whoever he comes across, the hectic nature of the battle means he may not have a chance to kill those who come across him. Those he comes across already injured or unarmed he may choose to speak to, as he would rather wait to sacrifice them once the battle is won. He will appear on the third day and be found primarily in the city dome. In the early hours of the fourth day, he'll have fallen in battle to The Commandant.
Space
"Space," [The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy] says, "is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mindbogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space, listen..."
So we're in space. What does that mean? Well, while the ship itself and the inside of the Moon Base both have artificial gravity, there is no gravity in space. Everything is different out there. Combat is different. Movement is different! It may be worth your time to read up on it, so you have an idea of what it's like. Even on the moon, with lower gravity, things will play out very differently.
Also those who remember the desert mission will remember the blank night sky out there. Well. That's the same situation here too. Although you'll be able to see the planet and the moon from space, as well as the sun, there will be no stars. Not a single one. They will be able to see some distant planets in the solar system (three gas giants further from the sun, two lifeless rocky planets closer to the sun) from space, but nothing else.
The Malnosso will have three other ships present, though the people from Luceti won't have access to them. They are very much similar to The Liberator. They are known as The Returner, The Midnight, and the Commandant's flagship: The Finisher.
Overall, here's a run down of the days:
June 19th - Lucetians board The Liberator and deal with the asteroids the cultists ride in on. This part of the draft is solely in space itself.
June 20th - Cultists begin their attack on the Moon Base, but do not yet breach the domes.
June 21st - The General arrives. The domes are breached and the city inside needs to be defended.
June 22nd - The General is defeated. However, new types of Shifters are present.
June 23rd - The remaining cultists begin to flee. Some will remain in hiding and need to be tracked down and dealt with. Noncombatants will be the focus here as they finalize repairs, tend to the wounded, form search parties for missing people, and perform clean up.
If you haven't signed up yet, you can do so over here. The deadline is the 18th!
Which is EVERYTHING for this draft. As always, use the MOD QUESTIONS thread for any questions you have.

He'll be lugging around a nondescript sword and shield even though he's sub-par with them and is more of a magic user. Because experience has shown him that you just can't stay far enough away from the frontlines in these battles.
Leon is going to be brushing up on his rusty spaceship-handling skills and boarding a Tyr-Fighter for the first part of the draft. It'd be awesome if he's either sharing the fighter with a gunner or keeping in contact with other pilots, just to build some interesting CR that way. He'll be in the base by the third day, fighting it out with the soldiers. He'll likely be using his Black Hole spell to spit some soldiers back outside the dome to avoid getting overwhelmed.
He'll have his sword on him, but he'll prefer to stick with using his tome.
There's always possibilities for things to change or go wrong, and I'd love to get these two to fight alongside other draftees (even though Albert would be reluctant to do so).

Would Leon be working under Scorpius in the Tyr-Fighter function, or did you have other things in mind?

As for Leon yeah maybe but that's less necessary I just thought I would go "lol, reversal"
