How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

And I appreciate the kind words! I was actually really worried about that introspection coming off as being kind of jumbled, so it makes me really happy to hear that I was able to get Pilouette's feelings across well.

I think it's awesome that someone RPs from Final Fantasy VIII! Selphie is a fun character. Recently, you tagged me for the first time. Our characters had never spoken before, which was fine...except you didn't really give me anything to work with. My character had to keep the conversation flowing because Selphie just wasn't adding anything to the conversation, and after a while it becomes boring to be the only one controlling the conversation, if that makes sense. It ended up feeling more like a Q&A session with my character asking the questions. It was like Selphie's spark and spunk just weren't in her.

I was curious about this, so I did some looking around. It doesn't happen in every thread, but I did see it happen in a lot of them. I think that Selphie is a very lively, dynamic person! Really loveable. Her conversations don't really feel natural coming from her sometimes because they're just...really flat, I think. I'd love to see some more lively conversations with her!

I've really loved Nami's recent threads with Aang too! They're interesting and I really like how they're drawing a little closer together, too.

As for Katie, she really likes Aang. (But shh, don't tell anyone.) I will snatch up all the CR I can with my girls because Aang's awesome, you're awesome, and thank you for the compliment. ♥

Thank you! I do struggle with her voice and have trouble matching her quirky and childish sides at times, so knowing she still comes across sounding like a child is great.

I hope this isn't too weird because we've never played, but I've staked a few of your threads with both Spike and Wolverine and I just wanted to say you've got pretty amazing voices for both of them. Spike is especially fun to read; I think you've got his dialect down-pat, and he's hilarious to boot.

I don't have any crit, I just wanted to say I'm enjoying yours a lot. So yeah, stay awesome. :|b

I know absolutely nothing about Archie's canon so I can't speak for that but I just wanted to say he's been really delightful to read, and he seems like a great, well-rounded character. I really hope we can thread more in the future. :D

I know I always praise you for your incredibly varied cast of characters, but I have to do it yet again, because dude, how do you do it? It's awesome. You're awesome.

For something that's new--I'm seriously adoring Rapunzel and Grune's friendship. It is just the cutest thing ever. Those two need to tagteam sometime spread joy and happiness and so forth (possibly to Asch).

Hey there! We've never threaded before so I hope this isn't too weird, but I wanted to say your characters are fantastic. What I've seen is mostly Elicia's interaction with Loki and the situation surrounding him and Clint, and I was really impressed by the way it was handled on your part and how believably well-rounded Elicia is. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of your stuff in the future.

I've also been told Bucky should expect a giant gun to the head for charming Miss Amelia into a dance? That'll be fun. ;)

Seconding what saltprince said above. I really love the way you play Howard in that you capture both the feel of the time and the essence of his character very well, especially for someone who doesn't get so much screentime. I'm really looking forward to upcoming stuff with the zombie event and joint drinking post. STAY AWESOME.

Kaze you are amazing and awesome to play with I don't know what else to even say. I really like how you handle Okita for my part? I think he comes off exactly the way he should as a lady character - very playful and easygoing, to the point that ICly characters can assume that's all there is, but you have a very deft touch with the underlying details too. I'm not sure how to put it exactly, but when I watched PMK there was that quiet note of sadness in Okita that I think you capture very well too. He's well-rounded and interesting to read, and I hope their CR develops into something great. IT'S GREAT PLAYING WITH YOU AGAIN OKAY /vomits feels

Hey, we haven't threaded, and this is craaaazy but -- okay no I'll stop.

I've been reading some of Buffy's stuff as I come across it and you write her really well. Both her dialogue and just the whole tone of her character are really spot-on. I've been a fan of Buffy for a long time so it's been great to read stuff from you and the rest of your cast. I don't have any crit, so just keep being awesome I guess. :D

It's been a while since I watched 12k, but what I've seen of him in Luceti has been pretty great. Even though we threaded during the memory wipe event I thought you kept him very true to himself. He's bratty and intelligent and just so very Enki I don't really know what else to say except ilu and keep rockin'.
