And so I wake in the morning and I step outside

Hey Lucetians. Having fun with all the new people so far? If you missed them, here's your list to add them all! You can use the Admin Console right over here. If you're not on this list and need to be, head over yonder to the Friend Add/Remove page. Go!

There, got all that? Good. Now, event stuff. Not quite an experiment this time. You know that big ol' Battle Dome? Well, the two NPCs residing under it have been making some tweaks on behalf of the Lucetians. Unfortunately a certain Intern has not quite yet mastered Sixth Level Shifting Fundamentals and... well, things will go a bit awry.

On the 26th, the Dome's chambers will no longer function. Though the clinic and vending areas will be fine, the chambers will be locked off entirely. The viewing areas will be blanked out, preventing anything from being seen.

On the 27th, at about noon, suddenly Luceti will be... a little bit odd. All the sort of things that usually happen in the dome? Now it's all over Luceti. Most significantly this will include 'enemies'. They aren't real and they can't kill, but they can hurt you (though not severely). These can range from RPG monsters, generic enemies (like soldiers, bandits, knights, etc), and so on. When they are defeated, they will vanish in a flash of light. However there's a good chance they may just 'respawn' elsewhere. Annoying right?

Unfortunately the scenarios have followed with it, seemingly at random. While your hallway may now seem like a jungle with all the vines all around, your bedroom looks more like a castle dungeon. Even stranger given that your house looked like a skyscraper from outside. Or, you know, perhaps your home is just fine. Only your neighbors have it bad. This means your house could be infested with bad guys AND/OR look completely different. (In other words, it's only as annoying as you want it to be.)

These shenanigans will persist until the 31st, in the evening at 6PM. Everything will be back to normal... but better! At least in the Dome. After it's been fixed to the way it should be, the Dome will now allow for more freedom. Enemies are no longer required, you can simulate a control console inside the scenario to build a world as you go, you can even script stories together if you like. But that stuff is boring, right? The better part is that vehicles can now be simulated - lasers, racecars, and airplanes. It's a duck blur.

The usual safeties of course are still enabled and nothing in there can kill you. Not even crashing spectacularly in a huge explosion. At best you'll just walk away dizzy.

As usual, plotting and questions can be done here. Have at it, ye scurvy players!

Because the war I was thinking of is pretty humans only. Unless Robert wants to end up in Hanselstadt, which is a vampire-on-human bloodbath. I think Tibet would freak him out more, though, with the rampant outmatching on the part of the aggressors and the tanks and the bombs and the rampaging Tibetan goddesses in the distance...

Well, the illusions are supposed to function nearly perfectly. Even if they weren't required to work, they would be able to perform up to spec.

If she ran into a Legendia-verse monster? Yup. Her friends have her trained pretty well there. It would just take a bit of explaining with any other kind of monster--or it getting a few hits in on someone/something. Then it's casting time!

Yeah, the poor man has enough to worry about, I'm sure. Plus the sheer WTF value of Grune of all people using Curse Eres would be pretty fun, I'm sure! (She actually specialises in them and the light equivalent, Sea, in her upper levels. XD)

Did it? That's weird because I don't recall that, but it's possible. The mainstay of the anime is in Ikebukuro. The anime goes out of it's way to use real-world landmarks and stuff - a friend of mind took a bunch of photos to confirm this.

Hah. Haha. Oh Lina. You spoil the poor bastard. And then she sees him fight and it all goes to hell.

I don't play Minecraft, but I have seen it played. And I would play on Peaceful just to avoid Creepers.

SHE'LL BE CAREFUL.

SHE PROMISED.

To be fair, he'd have plenty of chances to see her fight. But, um, fighting Masaomi scares the crap out of Lina, yeah. So, in the words of Monty Python - "run away, run away, run away run away run away!"

Will the event include effects other than the simulated enemies? Will there be homing lasers and giant eggbeaters (http://i.imgur.com/NytRg.jpg) (seemingly or not-so-seemingly?) coming out from the ground, too?

I'm asking because. Logan's Run, no matter what hallway you turn into. :U

Excitement...doubling...so much.

At the very least, this would be perfect for Giles to get some catharsis against Twilight.

I'd be up for them running into a Legendia-verse monster, then. Broaden Giles' horizons on multiple fronts. And, yes, if he can reassure himself that his friends are actually capable of defending themselves without him? Huge plus. Once the WTF value wears off, because it would be there. Because this is Grune, and did she seriously just pull off magic that would make Helios' evil alternate self green with envy?

Definitely up for B-K shenanigans! And thanks for the list! It's been ages since I've played either game.

I say yes. Because this needs to happen.

Ooh, that does have potential. Right! Anyone targeted by a Wallmaster will notice that their shadow is growing larger, no matter how fast they move. They'll only stop tracking your movements just before they drop, so you do have about half a second to get out of range. Then, of course, you have a pissed off disembodied hand after you... but evade them long enough and they'll return to their place on the ceiling. Of course, if you don't move during that half second, you will get grabbed.

XD I'm sort of considering having the bathroom turn into different temples every time you open the door. Open the door, MORPHA IN THE TOILET, close door. Open the door, overgrown with vines and skulltulas, close the door. Open the door, bottomless pit with the toilet floating on an invisible platform with a guillotine in front of it and a Wallmaster just waiting for you to sit down, RAGEQUIT FOREVER and find a less dangerous bathroom XD

Jeez O_O. Nightmare Fuel much?

But, yeah, I think only about half the people in Luceti have the requisite reflexes there.
