Hey Lucetians. Having fun with all the new people so far? If you missed them, here's your list to add them all! You can use the Admin Console right over here. If you're not on this list and need to be, head over yonder to the Friend Add/Remove page. Go!
There, got all that? Good. Now, event stuff. Not quite an experiment this time. You know that big ol' Battle Dome? Well, the two NPCs residing under it have been making some tweaks on behalf of the Lucetians. Unfortunately a certain Intern has not quite yet mastered Sixth Level Shifting Fundamentals and... well, things will go a bit awry.
On the 26th, the Dome's chambers will no longer function. Though the clinic and vending areas will be fine, the chambers will be locked off entirely. The viewing areas will be blanked out, preventing anything from being seen.
On the 27th, at about noon, suddenly Luceti will be... a little bit odd. All the sort of things that usually happen in the dome? Now it's all over Luceti. Most significantly this will include 'enemies'. They aren't real and they can't kill, but they can hurt you (though not severely). These can range from RPG monsters, generic enemies (like soldiers, bandits, knights, etc), and so on. When they are defeated, they will vanish in a flash of light. However there's a good chance they may just 'respawn' elsewhere. Annoying right?
Unfortunately the scenarios have followed with it, seemingly at random. While your hallway may now seem like a jungle with all the vines all around, your bedroom looks more like a castle dungeon. Even stranger given that your house looked like a skyscraper from outside. Or, you know, perhaps your home is just fine. Only your neighbors have it bad. This means your house could be infested with bad guys AND/OR look completely different. (In other words, it's only as annoying as you want it to be.)
These shenanigans will persist until the 31st, in the evening at 6PM. Everything will be back to normal... but better! At least in the Dome. After it's been fixed to the way it should be, the Dome will now allow for more freedom. Enemies are no longer required, you can simulate a control console inside the scenario to build a world as you go, you can even script stories together if you like. But that stuff is boring, right? The better part is that vehicles can now be simulated - lasers, racecars, and airplanes. It's a duck blur.
The usual safeties of course are still enabled and nothing in there can kill you. Not even crashing spectacularly in a huge explosion. At best you'll just walk away dizzy.
As usual, plotting and questions can be done here. Have at it, ye scurvy players!

Lina? Lina will probably have the time of her life with this. She'll vacillate between going "oooh, this looks so interesting" and "hey that looks dangerous BLOW IT THE FUCK UP!"
...Dragon Slaves might be happening. Finally.
Anyone up for plotting with either of these two? Drawing from their canon, there's a lot in the way of locations and monsters that can be thrown your way. Most especially the Lovecraftian horrors of late Season 8, if anyone is interested. But on Lina's end, you've got some fairly basic fantasy monsters, everything from trolls to orcs. Giles will probably be keeping back and keeping to himself, Lina will be the one flying around for rescue attempts.
Specifically - housemates and castmates to both of these two. What do you want to be facing? I'd love for the Sunnydale ruins to come in at some point. And for the added horror on the Slayers front - the ruins under Sairaag? The temple where Dark Star was defeated? Tafarashia?
...omg this event looks so awesome I AM SO EXCITED! You would probably still have to drag Giles in on a wild horse, but Lina hasn't really paid much attention to the place yet so now is a perfect opportunity.
And QUESTIONS for the mod - last edit, I swear, I hope. Can we get specific enemies appearing? Like, "boss" type monsters as well as generic types and classifications of monsters?

...I don't mind Season 8 as much as most do, I think it actually had some really cool occurences, but there was definitely nonsense.
But, yes. Otherwordly beings so terrifying and horrible that Giles was actually able to pull together an army of demons from their own world to stop them.

Anything in particular you'd like Ginia to run into? Nasty or...less nasty? If her apartment suddenly looks like a Tibetan temple, she might run into a lot of angry human soldiers as well.
To name a few examples.

Or can she fight some vampires? Can she? Can she? 8D

How does she feel about small German towns?

... On the bright side, Giles could have to deal with some simulated Terra depending on whether or not this is cool! SAY HELLO TO FUTURISTIC EVERYTHING - NEVER MIND THAT WEIRD NON-HUMAN TRYING TO MURDER YOU NORMALLY IT WOULD NOT BE DOING THAT
no subject
I think dealing with simulated Terra could be good for their relationship. Giles could be in some kind of computer room and realize that he doesn't know how to get out or work the door (even though the door is entirely workable on its own) and Robert could come and save him by working some techno magic!
Then they run away from the weird non-human.

... And then the seriousness is ruined by Banjo-Kazooie enemies. Those things are way too damn funny and impossible to take seriously at ANY point.
It would be awesome! Especially if the simulated Terran technology actually works. Simulatedly, of course. Robert might actually weep with joy for a few minutes - until something tries to kill him of course.

Well, the illusions are supposed to function nearly perfectly. Even if they weren't required to work, they would be able to perform up to spec.

The one thing you might want to double check is if said boss monsters can talk. Otherwise? Hell yes! We could turn the area around the boat into a part of Mirror!Helios' castle!
no subject
I just asked about the talking actually.

Yes.No not really. He's nice, honestly. Unless you get on his bad side then he's just a dick and really mean.no subject
no subject
...granted, Giles did get on Mirror!Helios' bad side. From day one. Mirror!Helios wants him to die very much. But this one at least won't have the mean dialogue.
no subject
...I think we found it. And we can pull all sorts of random things for them to blow up, right? XD
