How's My Driving?

This is a crit post for both the community and game and for your characters. If you have something you'd like to see us improve upon with the game, PLEASE TELL US HERE! Anon commenting is on, but if anything gets really nasty there will be warnings and thread-freezing. This isn't required but everyone is encouraged to take advantage of the advice of your fellow players!

Just some pointers: no taking cheap shots, no dragging personal issues into things and for the love of all that is wise and great, please double check your replies and comments before posting them. Sometimes a change in phrasing can make all the difference between a helpful tone and a condescending one.

ALSO ALSO: We'd like to clarify that HMD means HMD- which means it's okay to have both good and bad crit. Some people have expressed concerns about posting good/bad crit when a character already has bad/good crit posted. We'd like to encourage you guys to do it anyway! You can drive well or badly, and even good drivers make mistakes. So give it a try \o

And of course, now everything Gracia is depressing, but I'm interested to see where that goes.

With the aftermath of the Bride-Lin plot, I'm starting to veer wildly into "OH SHIT THERE IS NO CANON BASIS FOR THIS WHAT DO I DO WHAT DO I DO" territory, so let me know if I've really messed up Pao-Lin's characterization somehow and please bear with me as I try to handle the new and improved(?) her. While I think I've gotten better about making Pil's responses a little less...bland, I have noticed that she might be talking about herself more than necessary at times, so I'm working on that. Also, I'm thinking she might be a little repetitive these days, so I'm working on that.

Any crit would be great; if there's a way I can improve, lay it on me!

First off, I really enjoy Pils! That much is obvious. She feels very much like a normal girl stuck in Luceti...which is crazy! Poor thing!

One thing I have a little bit of trouble, though, is it seems like you tend to...kind of lead threads towards ending early? What I'd love to see you do with Pilouette is just expand on her conversations a bit more. It feels like a few of her conversations with Precis have been "Hi, oh this is the thing we're talking about, now we're done." What I really, really want is "Oh, hey, let's talk about this relevant thing...now that we're done with that, let's talk about what else is new!" Basically, some conversation filler would be lovely. You're very consistent with Pilouette's voice, but it just feels like conversations fall into this one track thing...but she should be able to bring up subjects of her own, too! And just talk.
