Recruitment Post

So for those of you who are new, every now and then we'll have a draft, where an NPC will make a post and ask for fighters to go out and fight horrible mean Third Party soldiers who want to go around killing folk. It's a volunteers-only sort of fight! And by volunteer, it means your characters have been volunteered and will, one way or another, end up on the battlefield. If you see your name/your character's name on this list, please reply with the following:

Remember, your character will only be sent IF and only if you fill out the above form, otherwise their name won't be sent out. This time there is no limits to how many you can send out! Just remember that the theme park will still be around during all this.

PLEASE NOTE the Shift Afflicted status. This will work the same as last time (a day or two of the draft will give them a handicap like narcolepsy, headaches, power loss, blindness, and so on.) These are characters who would normally not be drafted but due to circumstances, the Security Forces are dragging them into it anyway, even at the risk of the subjects.

Ginia doesn't have any experience with naval warfare, but she'll be at the front of the fighting with her guns and a machete. Alice may pop out if things get really dicey, we'll see.

Livio is really good at fighting (okay so he's pretty much considered one of the strongest characters in a world full of gunslinging badasses) so unless they decide to harpoon his wings or something they should be pretty safe. oh god that reminded me I wanted to have one of his wings blown off one of these drafts and have him switch to Razlo. THIS IS A HORRIBLE IDEA.

Ginia definitely prefers tactics and stealth, but can definitely hold her own in a fine. I just had her come back from a kidnapping and Alice running around so I'm playing it a bit nicer for my/her first draft. That's horrible and sadistic and you should do it.

Question, would Ginia need to get the hell out of the way then or risk being killed in the ensuing chaos?

Yeah, aside from maybe some silliness related to never having seen the ocean or been on a boat and not knowing how to swim... I'm pretty much trying to keep things more chill and not... you know, have him stabbed like a million times.

... even though in canon he is shot, blown up (no really Wolfwood practically blew him up once it was awful), and turned into human swiss cheese with giant metal objects all the time, it's pretty clear even if he's nigh immortal in a fight (aside from a headshot) that's it's still just as painful so I'd... rather not this particular draft.

oh she would definitely have to get out of the way as fast as it is humanly possible for her. One time one of his assistants didn't get out of the way and he mowed them down with gunfire and didn't even bat an eye. And this was one of the people who dedicated their lives to serving him. I'm not even kidding.

Definitely makes sense. Though I'm thinking the Luceti wings would probably be the one exception? But yeah, I'm keeping this chill for Ginia, no need for any further drama and I need to get into the swing of things anyway.

Noted. super noted. Ginia will proceed with the GTFO if that ever occurs.

Yeah, I mean in the Luceti battlefield where if I remember correctly the powercap is gone? there are only 3 injuries that would kill him: a shot to the head, decapitation, and wing removal. If I wanted to be sadistic I'd say the wings take a little longer to heal since they are not a natural part of his body. His powers are already a giant middle finger to biology, so why not?

Also I was thinking of having Razlo's wing blown off again once it's healed and the other one damaged so he would be in "cry for his mommy" level of pain if only because whoever healed him would be imprinted as replacement mommy figure and they wouldn't have to worry about him hurting them unless they betray him somehow. Chapel was his replacement daddy figure and he was a good little obedient son and had a meltdown when he thought he had died and had a bigger meltdown and turned him into a smear when he turned out to be alive and tried to kill him.

This is one such reason Ginia is glad she's on Livio's good side.

Dear god, that is sadistic. I'd also be willing to offer her as a replacement mommy figure, but Ginia's not a healer. The best she could do is drag him somewhere safe and to a healer.

that is only the tip of my fictional character sadism I'm secretly evil, you realize. though I've found while I like coming up with sadistic ideas, actually writing them out can make me feel for the character as a result feel bad. It's a good little codebreaker so I don't end up just constantly putting them in horrible situations all the time. At least Razlo breaking has the practical purpose of making him safer to be around when done right. Though if you were seriously interested in this I'm not planning on doing this anytime in the near future so she could always learn magic from the healing spirit in Luceti.

I'm sadistic too. XD For me, it's fun breaking down a character, but the best part is doing the rebound and the putting back together. To me, it's not fun playing a character that stays angsty.

I would be interesting. Right now Ginia's learning magic from Helios and seeing as she started three weeks ago, she should be able to learn her first spell soon and begin refining it.

I don't have much RP experience, so I'm still finding out what I like.
