Recruitment Post

So for those of you who are new, every now and then we'll have a draft, where an NPC will make a post and ask for fighters to go out and fight horrible mean Third Party soldiers who want to go around killing folk. It's a volunteers-only sort of fight! And by volunteer, it means your characters have been volunteered and will, one way or another, end up on the battlefield. If you see your name/your character's name on this list, please reply with the following:

Remember, your character will only be sent IF and only if you fill out the above form, otherwise their name won't be sent out. This time there is no limits to how many you can send out! Just remember that the theme park will still be around during all this.

PLEASE NOTE the Shift Afflicted status. This will work the same as last time (a day or two of the draft will give them a handicap like narcolepsy, headaches, power loss, blindness, and so on.) These are characters who would normally not be drafted but due to circumstances, the Security Forces are dragging them into it anyway, even at the risk of the subjects.

I'm not sure if you saw/answered this on the draft post, but I had a question concerning Kazooie's Dragon Form and Cheato cheats!

See, in Banjo-Tooie (and Banjo-Kazooie, to a lesser extent), Kazooie has access to in-game cheats via a giant... floating magic book, called Cheato. Since my Kazooie is taken from the end of a 100% completed Banjo-Tooie game (and assumes 100% completion of Banjo-Kazooie as well), she would technically have in-game access to Cheato codes. I can get a list of these for you and their effects if you'd like?

She also gets access to her Dragon Form via the in-game Stop 'n' Swop feature.

I was curious if she could request/have access to either of these things during the draft - they would both count as magic for the purposes of being disabled by Shifters (because one is a magic transformation that lasts indefinitely and the other is from a spellbook)...

And if she can, how would she get access to them? By asking like any other request?

I just have a quick question. Normally Roji's abilities can only affect ghosts. Would he be able to affect more than that during battle?

So Gannie here has never been on the ocean before (alas, not from The Wind Waker) and will not be pleased about being on these fragile buckets. But if anyone wants to do anything with him... he'll probably go off on his own to 'explore', but return the second day onward to fight.

Sokka and the Gaang will, I assume, be sticking together.

Jack is free for whatever. He'll be packing the heat once again, with lots of shiny submachine guns.

I wouldn't mind a thread with Ganon. They can complain about being out at sea together or something. Although I think in this case, we're probably better off doing the "let's see how things will go" approach.

So how many characters here are sailors or have naval/marine/pirate combat experience? How many have naval/pirate command experience?

Sokka has a lot of experience, being on and off vessels for most of his life. He's never really commanded one, but he'd definitely know how to run one.

I think in Jack's long life he knows his way around a ship, but mostly just enough that he'll have no problem adapting to it.

Alrighty then. I know I've already volunteered Derek for a few things, but in the interest of 1) Getting my RP drive back and 2) Using this as therapy for Derek, I'd like to see if I cna work some stuff out with folks.

Not really sure what, yet, but I do know that IC, Derek needs work on:

Connecting with people again
Learning to truly work in a group (not just do assignments for said groups)
Get something freaking LIGHTHEARTED to happen to him.
Get over his (well hidden) broken heart
LEARN HOW TO BE/ACT LIKE A HUMAN AGAIN.

And...um...yeah.

If anyone wants to help me out with that, it would be great! All comers welcome--even if Derek side-eyes the other character at first, I'm willing to give it a shot, and he usually comes around eventually.

Otherwise... while they're all decent fighters, none of them have extensive oceany combat experience. They've all been to an ocean/on a ship at some point or other in their respective worlds, but that's about it... >.>

Someone has never been to the ocean before. Or even been on a boat. I predict the first day or two will have shenanigans revolving around this fact. Other then the inevitable falling off the boat and drowning, the obligatory seasickness and constantly tripping on his own feet that he's pretty much a one man army who will want to be running around shooting and chuck-norris-kicking 3rd party members and protecting all the things. 3rd part members are obvs. more powerful dudes then normal trigun guys running around but I think he'll still hold his own pretty well. Once he has sea legs and is actually usable. 8|;;

He...well he has been out to sea before so he can handle himself somewhat and fight, but he's a little awkward with it since he has more experience fighting on land.

I kinda wanna kill this guy, so if anyone needs a dead kid for their plottings, let me know?! He is small, literally incapable of swimming, and quite killable from any angle you can think of.

OTHERWISE, I'm up for anything. I can't think of much at the top of my head, but he'll probably be hanging back on the defensive side of things. I'm thinking of possibly making him godly for a day or two, but for the rest of the time he will need supervision, please. He tries to not be totally useless, but he is still mostly a weakling. :|

Heisuke has some fail Nala experience, but otherwise both of them are skill-based fighters rather than magic-based. Both are likely to be offensive since they believe the best defense is a good offense aka stabbing the other guy in the head first.

Yamanami is still technically the fukuchou, so he's going to try to act like one. Thanks to his mallynap experience, he's already been forced to confront all of his various phobias, but hideous failure i.e. freezing at crucial moments might happen and if blood gets everywhere, well...

HE WILL TRY HIS BEST EITHER WAY. He's mostly defensive, so he won't be very effective until someone gets hurt, and then he'll lose it and be his "old self" for a bit.

And I'm guessing Heisuke will be sticking to him like glue.

But I am totally open for plotting involving this wisecracking, Egg-spitting, seasoned-combatant cartoon bird. Since she can Glide/Fly if there happens to be a Flight Pad provided on the boat, and she has some experience with oceans (hello Treasure Trove Cove and Jolly Roger's Lagoon) and swimming if she's in a backpack, she'll probably be pretty okay on this! Just remind her, the boat isn't cartoony and is likely to go on fire if she pelts it with Fire Eggs...

Plotting shenanigans for Erza or Goku? Erza's been in a draft before, so she knows what she's doing. Meanwhile, this is Goku's first draft, and the shift is going to make him temporarily go blind for one of the days (probably the second), which should be fun to thread out if anybody wants to do something with that.

Two things!

1) For Caesar here, I need a bodyguard. It's important to protect your chief strategist, right? This character should be a person that'd normally help out on the defensive side of things (someone who'd usually help protect the base camp and noncombatants). They don't necessarily have to know Caesar already—if he knows them, he'll ask them personally, and if not, we'll work something out! We can also plot out what the two will do together during the draft.

2) Less importantly, for isntyourfriend, um... does anyone want a thread in which this (http://i55.tinypic.com/2e3ocxt.jpg) appears? :|; It won't kill you (...unless you want it to, I suppose, then we can arrange something), and it's mostly for show. I want to do at least one thread in which this appears, but I thought I'd ask first before unleashing that ugly thing in anyone's thread! In case, for some reason, you actually want to see a bunch of Third Party soldiers beheaded with a giant tongue.

If you want to do something unrelated to these things, that's cool, too! Just hit me up. o/
