Recruitment Post

So for those of you who are new, every now and then we'll have a draft, where an NPC will make a post and ask for fighters to go out and fight horrible mean Third Party soldiers who want to go around killing folk. It's a volunteers-only sort of fight! And by volunteer, it means your characters have been volunteered and will, one way or another, end up on the battlefield. If you see your name/your character's name on this list, please reply with the following:

Remember, your character will only be sent IF and only if you fill out the above form, otherwise their name won't be sent out. This time there is no limits to how many you can send out! Just remember that the theme park will still be around during all this.

PLEASE NOTE the Shift Afflicted status. This will work the same as last time (a day or two of the draft will give them a handicap like narcolepsy, headaches, power loss, blindness, and so on.) These are characters who would normally not be drafted but due to circumstances, the Security Forces are dragging them into it anyway, even at the risk of the subjects.

Have to ask this, but is there any kind of communication system while out in the field? Like if Ginia wanted to request some walkie-talkies or earcoms to keep in touch with people while fighting, is that possible?

Because if something like that is possible, Ginia would like to at least organize some way for people to keep in touch. It'll most likely be focused around people she knows, but can spread out easily.

Albert's either requested himself or has had Derek request communication devices each time (and I'm pretty sure other characters have likewise requested on their own IC), so I'm pretty sure it will happen again this time too.

The journals are used for this purpose, mostly. Like---I know that Archie and Jilly wrote letters to each other on one draft. It was very sweet.

Before getting sent out, characters are sent to a "waiting room" rather like the hotel that's currently taking up space at the park. During that wait, characters can request certain items to be delivered to them via shifting - anything from bottled water to fully functional vehicles. Coordination of such supplies has been done in the past, especially during the last draft. All of the draftees received a list of items from in the know villagers that they should probably ask for, the better to survive in the rain forest. Other characters took it a step further and ordered sufficient materials for the villagers themselves, and went door to door passing them out.

So something like that is very much possible, to make a long story short.

Sooooo Edward has a couple of handicaps. First of all he has two metal limbs, so if he were to fall in the water, he would sink like a stone. Secondly, said limbs would be completely immobile if the Third Party were to use technology-disabling Shifts around him. Thirdly, he's pretty small, so tossing a cranky alchemist with two deadweight limbs overboard would be a snap.

Lina has proven able to carry people a foot taller than Ed in metal armor across some pretty vast distances. She could probably at least keep him from sinking and ferry him around.

Given that there would be a lot of movement between the islands, Daisy is going to request a Pelican Dropship and generally serve as assistance to a lot of people: Dropping resources, transporting units, rescue operations for those stranded either at sea or in islands, giving support fire, that kind of stuff.

She'll have her post in the lucetilogs, and will be replying for others, but if you want to plot, I'm here. ^^

Storm is going this round! It's her first draft, yay :'D Regardless, she's going to. Try and volunteer herself to help put everyone into some sort of organized force because that's what she does.

Also, she's going to be quite handy in a fight! She's got lightning for long range attacks and whirlwinds to dissipate enemies if they get too many at once, fogs for stealth mode if they require it... and since they'll be over the ocean, expect some water spouts too! And should she be Shift-disabled, as long as she's not in flight (she'd drop from way high up and that's not good!), she can handle herself decently in a fist fight for some time. She's going to do her best not to kill though.

Anyway, yeah! Anyone want to plot with a mutant weather former-goddess? :)
