After seeing the last few OOC posts, and talking with a few players here and there, it is time for me to make a few comments on what has been going on lately. Before I begin however, I hope you ALL know that I am trying to be as fair as possible here. I am the head mod, and as such I have tried to listen to several people's opinions. I don't want you all to think that I am simply thinking "My game, my rules, you follow what I say." This is not the case. I am only going to make a few comments, and hope you guys listen, understand, and take what I am saying to heart.
This is a game. A place to have fun, for ideas to spread, and for people to hang out together. At NO time should you guys take it so seriously that it becomes a problem if things become a little hectic within the game. That's entirely not the point. We play to relax, not to make ourselves insane. I have noticed that some of you do not like the event that has started recently. Perfectly okay, not every event is something we all have to love and participate in. But in that event, all you guys have to do is walk away for a little while, until the event is done. You can post a hiatus notice in the OOC board, but please do not use it to express how much you are dissatisfied with the event. That is not what the board is there for. Now, I don't want you guys to think I am attacking or yelling at you, I am not. I am merely telling you that in the future, there is no need to tell us WHY you are leaving. Just tell us you're going to be gone for a few days. Saying you are displeased with an event just makes people nervous and confused. Please refrain from doing this anymore. And just so you all know, this is meant for everyone. I am not singling folks out or pointing fingers.
Also, in the event of future player formed events. I am all for you guys coming up with ideas and expressing them. I want you all to be able to let your minds wander and have fun things happen here. But you guys HAVE to ask me or another mod before anybody else. And more importantly, please IM one of the mods, don't use the OOC board until you have confirmation that you can actually pull off the event. Otherwise, people get confused, and I have a hard time keeping track of things. So in the future, any ideas are run by a mod BEFORE asking other players what they think. As for the current event with the hostage situation, I ask that you guys wrap this up within the next day or two. Please have everything resolved by midnight on Edit: April 2nd. Things are beginning to drag on, and get slightly out of hand, so I am calling for it to end soon.
On a side note, this is merely a house keeping note. I know you guys love your OOC memes, and I am not about to take them away from you all. But constantly posting the memes in your journals is cluttering, and it makes it very hard to distinguish between IC and OOC posts. If you guys have a meme to do, please keep it to one OOC post on the OOC board, and then reply to it with character journals. Don't all do separate posts. I am asking this more for my own sanity rather than telling you all to do this.
